I want to take a few minutes to share Jaxon's journey. At 31 weeks I was bay flighted to a level 3 NICU hospital with sever preeclampsia. I was hospitalized for a week not being able to walk and at high risk to have a seizure or stroke. At 32 weeks it was very clear we couldn't control my blood pressure and the doctors decided to induce me. I was in labor for 12 hours when Jaxon's heart rate continued to drop. I had a prolapsed cord which Jaxon was tangled up in head to toe. I was rushed into an emergency csection. July 3, 2016 9:01am 2lbs 13oz. We had our baby boy but he was sick and small. For 2 months Jaxon was in the NICU fighting. He was on oxygen feeding tubes and constantly getting poked. He had to wear a mask on his eyes for his treatments and didn't get to see us much. We had to leave him every night and with the help of his amazing nurses he pulled through. He became healthy enough to come home. But he wasn't out of the blue yet. Jaxon came home on a heart monitor but we were were just happy to have him home. Jaxon is now a happy healthy 4 month old and weighs over 10lbs. He is my miracle baby. Mommy and daddy are so proud of you Jaxon. #preemie
