@chela915, my ob office scheduled me an appt to meet with a pediatrician in their building bc half the office is ob/gynecology and the other is pediatrics. that was at my 27wk appt

they did my sons at the hospital the day after he was born! before we ever got discharged

They gave us the option to either do it at the hospital or at a later date. We did it at the hospital right before we went home.

I'm gonna be there holding his hands and kissing his face. I hope, anyway. @tmoschetti06 Mama's little tadpole might be losing a piece of his tail but either me or Daddy will be there as close by as possible.

@tayek, Ya me too! I didn't even go in the room when my son got his, I couldn't bear to watch it, I made my mom go 😕

omg i had the same question when did u ladies call the pediatrician for him to be aware you were choosing him as the doctor

I'm in Georgia. I'm gonna request it even if it costs more. Hubby says we will have it done, and now I just want it over with lol

In nj my nephew got it in the hospital a day after he was born

Oh hell no. Both my boys were done in the hospital prior to discharge! Hell no they better do it in the hospital! Thats ridiculous.

most doctors wait till the 1 week (2 week?) appointment, so they can do it in their office. Its actually ALOT cheaper that way.

That's what I was told, that I'd have to schedule it with his pediatrician. We aren't having him circumcised anyway, but that was surprising to me nonetheless. @tmoschetti06

I guess it depends on the hospital but they did my sister's in the hospital

in texas they do it 2 days after

they don't do them there until the 2 week check up 😒

It really just depends, all the places where I live they do it not long after being born, but I know some places wait.

Oh I hope not! 😔 I want it done immediately.
