Labour story- waters broke on the Saturday 1pm, hospital decided to induced me after 24 hours as contractions were 5 minuites apart. Cervix was completely closed and the most posterior my midwife has seen yet. After 6 hours I was 3cm; got taken down to delivery and put on the hormone drip, but every time I had a contraction baby's heart rate dropped to 50bpm or lower. By this point I was 7cm, crying and in so much pain as I had strong contractions with a 20 second break. Ended up opting for an epidural as they had to get right up inside me and take a blood prick from babies head. Even after all of this they decided it would be fairly impossible for me to delivery naturally,so I ended up in theatre. He was born 4 minuites after I went into the room, with no complications health wise, after 18 failed hours of active labour- no rush to do this again anytime soon but it was all worth it😂 I definately did not forget the pain, but it is one I would do all over again for my baby boy 💙
