What do you ladies recommend I'm so close to having my second little princess and I def need to get on track w/ birth control. I've never been on any.. I just had my daughter on March & quickly got preg w/ my second. This can't happen again lol. My body def needs to heal and relax for a bit. No more babies for a while! I was thinking the Depo shot or Birth control pills. What do you ladies say? I know IUD would be basically the best one for me but I'm so scared of it lol. I've heard a lot of stories of the painful experience and how it could move or fall out.

lol I'm on the same boat as you when it comes to birth control. So what we just recently started using are condoms. So when u do decide which one you'll use lmk the side effects.
I was gonna go with the copper iud because of no hormones but it makes periods heavier and longer so I'll just go with mirena. I hear/heard better reviews
I bled a lot with depo didn't gain weight (I dieted to make sure) but it did take over a year to get pregnant (wasn't trying but wasn't preventing either) I only had 1 shot. Will never do it again tho. I bled from the week I got it for like 4 months straight. Wasn't heavy but you get tires of needing to put a liner or pad on
Id say no on depo. You do gain weight. And when you do want to try and get pregnant again its hard and takes a while. Also when you come off of it you bleed a lot. (my experience) had a period for months and weeks at a time.
I was on depo. I never bled but gained a ton of weight. the arm implantation had a bad reaction with both my sisters. but the mirena worked for me
@mommabear0319, I just got the nexaplon implant last month & I love it! it is a bit painful getting it put in but so worth it! and it last for 3 years so that's a plus!!
Thanks for the heads up! I kinda liked the fact I get a easy shot and I'm clear for three months but I def cant afford to gain weight lol.. ugh this is why I've never been on any birth control. So many complications and worries 😒 @fruitloop13
Hated the depo. so did everyone I know who got it. I gained weight and there are a ton of studies with horrid long term use complications. don't get it.
@mrs.n2014, Oh wow. I'm def not going for the IUD. Thanks for the heads up. I was leaning more into the pill since it's the most convenient one.. Is it true you gain weight or get extra hairy? Or it all depends on the person?
Yes . It makes you fat , angry , hungry , and the after effects it has on your body is ridiculous . Once I got off my period lasted me almost 3 weeks . It was super heavy and I couldn't do anything . I changed my tampon every 30 minutes and I had a pad on and it still didn't help it from seeping through my pants.
