I have a 3 week old son, who I've been breastfeeding exclusively I've had to go back to work sooner than expected and so I've had to supplement with formula 2 oz formula 1 ounce breast milk. now he's having a hard time pooping. and when he does poop with the help of Vaseline it's not hard, so he's not constipated. what do I do? he goes 24 hours with out pooping and he's so miserable.

he eats 3 oz every time though. so im just confused. @cubanese

well how often would I pump then? he eats every 3 hours. would I pump every time he eats (while I'm home ?) I feel like I still wouldn't have enough.

@cubanese, I wish I could. I'm not producing a ton. every time I pump it's maybe 1.5 ounces. any ideas to help with that?

you should use ky jelly instead of Vaseline if you can. Vaseline has the potential to clog the rectal area because it is not water-soluble
