set up and waited hours for people to show up for my baby shower and other than my mom and aunt no one came. :( i feel emotionally stressed and upset. as a single soon to be mom I'm realizing how few people I can relie on now.

that's one of my biggest fears i hope i have people to show up.
thanks @ppb14pj16. and if I was near you I would do the same. It just really hurts cause I've been there for all my friends for them and their kids and the one time I ask them to be there they bail without saying a word even though they promised to be there
that's my fear of having one ;(

Same. None of my family showed up and just one friend and half of my bf family was there. So I definitely understand.
yeah. it just sucks because I thought I could rely on them just like they rely on me. but that was a door slammed in my face
I only had one friend show up to mine and none of my family so I understand. I've just had to stop being upset and start realizing I can do things on my own.
