Hey, may I suggest that you try giving him options? Tell him, he can eat his lunch today and can have pizza another day, whichever day that he likes. He can choose the day. Let me know how he responds. @lacie92

@withlovedkj, options are gone. pizza was a treat if my kids picked up their room. they didn't so they got peanut butter sandwiches, oranges, and some BBQ chips. he was upset and he told me he was going to throw it in the garbage (I didn't think he was going to do it) and I told him what would happen if he did that. this was a move to try and gain power over me. options have came and went. this is not suppose to have a bitchy tone btw :)

I think you did the right thing. My mom always told me she wasn't a short order cook and we will eat when we are hungry. So that's what happened.

That's what I would have done. Everyone has different parenting techniques. Personally I would have lost my patience at that point too and told him to be hungry then. 👌

@withlovedkj, I did end up giving him some saltines. I struggle with tough love.

@christimary0, yah I ended up giving him some saltines but thats all he's getting until snack time. oh and when his dad gets home from work they are going to have a conversation.
