I think my 5 week old son starting to get cradle cap. His forehead just looks a little bit dry and scabby. I wash his face with just cool boiled water and cotton wool and he has a bath every other night. Can I put anything on it to stop it getting worse or will it go away on its own? It's hardly noticeable, only when I'm looking for it but I'd hate for him to be uncomfortable 😔

I use coconut oil. It hasn't gotten rid of it completely but helps. I haven't tried any cradle cap shampoos yet so not sure if they're any good. They can't feel it though.

Olive oil. Rub it on, on a night time. Leave it over night then rub it off in the morning. Xx

Baby oil, coconut oil or olive oil...leave it in over night and then gently in circular motions brush it out xxx

Thanks girls! Will try a bit of coconut oil as I have some in the house. It's not very bad at all so I don't think he needs the special shampoo but I think it's starting so would rather get in top of it now 😊 xx

Boots do there own shampoo with oil in it! I swear by it and it also smells great and it last ages. My bottle is still going nearly 4 months on!!
