Exactly like my cousin. Closest to me so i chose her to be my sons god mother. She didnt come to my babyshower, came to visit him 1 time and never came again. My boyfriend said he didnt want to baptise him anymore so i told her he doesnt have god presents anymore but clearly she doesn't understand that because she still post him up saying "my god baby" like no. just no

I wasn't happy when my bf was adamant if I chose my friend to be godmother of our son he had to chose a friend. my sons God mother asks about him all the time. makes time to visit and even gets him stuff here and there besides Xmas and his bday his God father was really close to him when he was little and he loves to be around him. but if he rarely comes over to watch a game with my bf and my son talks to him or wants to play he makes it so obvious to him that he doesn't and I got fed up the last time and said don't come to my house and ignore him. and when he left he told my bf I bet she's happy I left and hasn't came back since. you don't do that to my child and especially if he's your God child.. -____-
My God mom hasn't talk to me in forever 😒 she comes and gos. Like we make plans and she never follows through. She never bothered to say hi lol. But now she wants to be the god mom of my baby. Like nah. Gtfo 😂
My sister is godmother to both our children. My definition of a godparent is, to be in the children's life, to be present. To take in the children, if - God forbid - something happens to the parents. If she's not doing any of this, I'd relief her off her duty if I was you. Godparent isn't just a title to throw around like "yea, I'm a godmother/father". It means so much more.
