I'm now a week pp and next Friday I have to get 3 wisdom teeth pulled. I want to pump enough for 24 hours so my boyfriend is able to help for the night while i recover but I have no idea how much I need to pump. I'm only able to get 3oz in one session and that's from both of my breast. Any ideas? Also how do I store my milk? Can I pump a little, put in the fridge and then pump on top of that until the bottle is full and then freeze it?
I combine my milk @aiellomorgan and have never had a problem. For me, it's a waste to use a bag for 1 to 2 ounces....I can fill up to 7 bags a day tho. I've heard some ppl put the amount their child eats per feeding in a bag that way they just take out a bag each time and it's just enough.
It's my right that is bigger as well. I've read so many different things! Hopefully they will even out for the both of us!
Idk because I'm in the same boat lol my right one is bigger than my left too :( I think it's pretty common for that to happen.
Thank you @nikilauren Do you know by any chance if my boobs will even out? My right one is bigger and it's driving me crazy! I hope there not stuck this way ): lol
I usually pump enough for at least an ounce per hour that I'm away, so if it were 24 hours try and at least do 24 ounces. It's better to have more than not enough anyways. As far as pumping and freezing goes, don't add warm milk to already cooled milk. Pump as much as you can during that session and put it in one of the bags specifically made for freezing and put it in the freezer right away and just keep doing that until you think you have enough for the day you need it :)
You should wait till the milk is the same temp before combining but you absolutely can combine all the milk from the day and then portion in to how much your LO takes per bottle. 3-4 oz
