So I got a job offer for a daycare starting at descent pay n chances of raises after completing more child development classes. My baby is going to three months n I feel bad excepting it to take care of other children n leaving mine to be tended to someone else? Any advice?
Yea I would have someone care for my baby n I can take my baby with me but not the same class n they don't offer employee discounts it's a percentage of what I'd make. The starting wage is 13.75 with benefits because it's at a military base. They work from 6 to 6 my son is gunna b 3 mons n idk if I should do it or not. Currently me n my husband are living with his parents in a crowded apartment so taking the job will help us get our own place but idk I feel like I'm leaving him to care for someone else's kid while he's cared for.
It's really hard and if they do allow u to bring your baby with depending on if they have employee childcare discounts or if they accept child action it could possibly even out paycheck/ day care fees I work in a child care center n it costs 207 a week I can't remember if that part or full time there pricey n don't offer discounts n I currently don't qualify for child action so my husband has to watch her most days wen he isn't busy with interviews n woke etc cuz my boss only let's my daughter there if it's a good excuse nd if I'd have to call in other wise but between my pay at 10.50 a hour and child care fees it would be pointless for me to bring her cuz it would be basically working to pay her fees to be at the center with me n if maby take home $50 on a good check but depends on the center and if you have someone to watch your daughter that doesn't cost alot to make it worth it. iv worked in several different centers and they don't allow u to work in same class as ur kid :(
Will your baby be at the daycare with you? That's hard... I was a Nanny before I got pregnant and made 15-18 an hour but I couldn't imagine doing that and having someone watch my baby all day while I'm with someone else's kids. Even though the money is pretty good. I know the daycares I interviewed at won't let a child be in the same class as their parent which sucks 😔
