I just woke up they still haven't called me back I'm still itchy and puffy bubs is very quiet my sister is ready to call the hospital and abuse them as the midwife said they would call me soon that was over 3 hrs ago

If I were you (and knowing what I know about the possible condition) I'd be getting to the hospital ASAP, especially if your are feeling "off colour".

My biggest complaint during my hospitals investigation into my situation was that I was not told the true nature of the condition and possible outcomes.

Given that you've mentioned bubs is behaving differently and you've mentioned pain associated with his movements you really need to get checked, hooked up to a monitor and such.

And what's the worst you'll get told........everything is fine!!!

I can't believe he wouldn't tell u. I would be freaking more the fact he said I won't tell u to not stress u :/ I would just go in and tell them u want to know what's goin on. U are pregnant u should be getting answers and looked after. Good luck hun

Honestly......get yourself to a hospital!!!

I felt absolutely terrible just days after being diagnosed to the point where I could not have driven.....the midwife suggested I call an ambulance, it's THAT serious.

My bub also stopped moving hence my emerg c section.

Please at least call your hospital and tell them your symptoms and the doctors suspicions.

It's pretty dark yellow at moment bub is moving lots n hurts more he's been moving more than normal today

Yeh hun I'd go to the hospital. It doesn't sound like your coping... and for your baby's benefit just in case... I'm a lil confused at why the doctor hasn't looked into this further, it's such a serious matter, cholestasis.

deleted-user

deleted-user

Is bubs still moving around ok??

Don't feel like you have to wait for the blood results......if you are feeling unwell as you've explained get straight to your chosen hospital.

Cholestasis can grumble along for a long while but it can also come on very thick and fast.

Personal question but what colour is your wee??

Go and get checked, it's better to be safe.

Yep, definately update us, you should have the test results tomorrow.

For the itching - try frozen ice packs on your hands and feet it helps a little.

Sounds like cholestasis to me.

I was diagnosed at 36 weeks and delivered at 37+1 via emerg c sec.

It's good you're doing bloods in the morning !!

deleted-user

deleted-user

I had it cholestasis it's a liver problem. I never thought anything of it, apart from it being Another pregnency perk.

Go to the doctors or emergency and let them know.

I was 37 weeks when I went to the hospital for food poisoning and they noticed me scratching the palms of my hands which started the week before and that's when they decided to induce me that day.

Get a cold water bottle and hold it that was the only way I could control the itching and sleep it drove me nuts.

You will get regular blood tests to make sure your blood levels go down but it disappears as soon as u give birth.

All the best Hun, keep us updated x

The doc said today maybe to do with my liver I couldn't have blood tests today as I had eaten so I'm fasting now for them in the morning he said if its what he thinks it is I will be brought on early he wouldn't tell me what he thinks might be said doesn't want to scare me ??? It's just so itchy n stings trying no to scratch it

Try an antihistamine, it looks exactly like what I get when i have a reaction to something I have touched. Polarmine is safe

in pregnancy.

Other wise it may be swelling, feet up and rest, and as always plenty of fluids, lol.

deleted-user

Dont want to frighten u but it might be puppps or cholestasis... That's good that u r doing bloods so they can rule out if its cholestasis or not...

Do you have pre-eclampsia?

Either that or you've had a reaction to something. Have you tried calamine lotion, aloe Vera or savlon?
