I'm going to be that person...usually I dont even consider Christmas until after thanksgiving. But this is our first year in our own house for Christmas. We are on a tight budget and have a 1 year old girl and my son will be 6 at that time. What are some ideas that won't make me completely broke?

Ah okay. Well I think you should get them each a big gifts and a bunch of smaller ones. Make some of them things that they need. Try Marshalls, big lots, Burlington, even some dollar stores. If you have those stores near you.

There's always layaway which you can start now.

I do the Christmas eve box. But I like the other idea. I'm used to going all out for my son but now that we have two kids and all the bills to play it's going to be harder this year to do ad as much as usual

We do: one thing they want, one thing they need, one thing to wear, and something to read. Then we do a Christmas Eve box with a new pair of pajamas, some hot cocoa, and a Christmas movie. Then fill the stocking with fruit and odds and ins toys that usually cost a dollar each. Sounds like a lot, but really inexpensive 😄

thrift stores, salvation army, ect. You'd be surprised what toys you can find there!
