@ourmiracle2016, I guess it depends? The hospital I had my son in doesn't. They promote exclusive breastfeeding. But you can always let your doctor and all the hospital staff know that you don't want them to give your baby a pacifier.

@brinnersmommy20, I would've been so upset. A pacifier isn't the end of the world obviously, my son uses one, but the fact that no one asked me would've upset me.

don't they give the baby one at the hosp? I've been worrying about this because I'm afraid it will confuse baby when trying to breastfeed

My son had one early in life because he had jaundice and he had to be in an incubator while he was under treatment and all he did was scream and I needed something to comfort him

@cassandrareyna14, Same my son was about a month old before he used one and even then it took a while and a few different brands before he really used one. He doesn't always need it though so I'm hoping that when he's older it'll be quick to transition him off of it. I want him to be weaned off the pacifier completely by 18 months.

@candyandfitnessaddict, We didn't want to use a pacifier however when I was breastfeeding him what has happened to @jjsmommyjj711 happened to me and I couldn't be a pacifier and a milk machine so I gave him a pacifier.

@mommytoprinceaiden092915 Yes! I saw a 3 y/o with one the other day out in public like 🤔 It's a no from me 😂 but I know that's crazy! It's a beautiful name. My son's name is tainted by having an anime middle name as well though 🙄

My daughter never used one until she was about a month old but then dropped that habit quick. Anytime I see babies with pacis I feel the same, I really don't know why!! Lol especially already walking

I'm guilty of this with my first but I wasn't in the room when my mom gave it to her and then she never wanted to take it out. But this time it's a no go and everyone knows it. Need all the help I can get for a good latch

Neither of my kids have used a pacifier. They didn't seem to like it.

And I just have to say what the heck are the chances our children are both named Aiden (Aidan) Christopher 😂

That and seeing like a 6 year old that still has a paci 😐
