OK, I am new here. But I need help!
For awhile, my daughter has been hitting me in the face. Only recently it seems like she is doing it on purpose and to get a reaction. I believe she is doing it on purpose because she will hit me once, hard, on the face, and then she will laugh. Ive tried grabbing her hands, and sternly telling her no. That has not worked, she only laughed harder. Recently, I have tried saying "owww!!!" and fake crying. It worked for a while, because she realized that she was hurting me and it was not OK. Now, I think she knows that I am fake crying, because she just laughs, and hits me again.
What do I do!? This probably happens at least once a day. She just turned one a couple weeks ago. Will she grow out of this if I ignore it? She doesn't do it to her dad.

I try not to show a reaction at all. (Even though that little brat can really hurt me! Haha). I just pretend she didn't do anything of importance, and she hasn't hit me in about a month now.. I guess we will see! Next I'm going to start the "time out" stuff.

Okay I was wondering about that. She definitely already seems like the type of child that will need intentional discipline. Just didn't know if she was old enough yet or not 😩 thank you! @allyk.xmommy

time for her to learn time out. when I would cuddle my son, or even hold him for any reason he would randomly slap and then laugh. so if he couldn't behave, he had to go to his crib for 5 minutes after telling him that was bad. it eventually helped. now he is almost 2 and had a ton out spot
