I didn't know it was possible to do a sweep every 48hrs. I thought it had to be 7 days apart x

For me I have nothing to compare it to as it's my first baby. All I can say is my contractions got worse in pain from the moment they started after my waters broke to the moment I had the epidural but I coped fairly well on gas and air for many hours and after a lot of persuading from the midwives I had the epidural good job as I was rushed for an emergency c section and if I hadn't have had the epidural a few hours back I would have been put to sleep xxx

Was the drip as painful as some have said? Did you need pain relief?

I Think it all depends on if your cervix is open, mine was closed every time they attempted sweeps so thats why it didnt really work for me. My waters went on the morning I was due to be induced but still ended up on the hormone drip! 😝 xxx

Really? Did they induce you in the end? Midwife told me today I could have and extra sweep the week of my due date if I really don't want to be induced on sept 12th. I was so glad when she told
