Yeah it is and it's the best thing u can do. U get mastitis from not always getting empty or missing a feed. But it's perfectly safe to continue to bf baby

im feeding as much as though going to express after feeds to keep them empty. is feeding safe for my little one? @suzie80

Needs to be savoy Hun but like others have said feed feed feed or express keep those ducts unblocked. The pain gets horrific believe me I know I got an abscess in mine from mastitis and my temp was through the roof. I was wrapped up shivering and shaking with bruises all over my boobs. But feeding lots although terrible pain initially did clear it with meds. If not try those breast cooling things

@suzie80, im already on an antibiotic although the pain seems to be getting worse. i have a cabbage but its not savoy

True mastitis needs antibiotics Hun. Also try Savoy cabbage leaves from the fridge or short while in the freezer

warm compresses are good i believe x
