It kind of annoys me how people want to suggest an epidural as a simple pain solution but don't want to tell you how you won't be able to get out of bed or eat and drink or the fact you'll have a bladder catheter and that it usually prolongs labor... like no thank you. I'm not completely against it but I'll be trying my hardest not to get it.
@answeredprayer16, it was great for me because i was calm after it . it didn't matter to me how long my labor was on because i couldn't feel anything and even of u don't get the epidural , you could still have a long labor but i don't go around telling people they should get the epidural because it's their choice not mine
I understand that I ended up getting mine before they even started my labor because I was in so much pain and I wasn't moving @answeredprayer16
yeah I'm saying before you have your kid @zachsbabygurl there's no telling how long you'll have to lay there
I had one with my first and had no issues. I actually had my son 5 hours after I got to the hospital at 5 1/2 cm. It wasn't a big deal at all. I am going to try to go naturally with my daughter but don't know if that's going to happen due to having SPD with this one. I wouldn't force my choice on anyone though it's the mothers choice and everyone is different.
Had one with my first and went natural with this one, definitely easier recovery without the epidural, for me anyway
