okay I will be returning to school soon and I need to know tips on stacking up on breast milk , to increase the milk supply because my son is fed on demand and I refuse to switch to formula so I need advice to increase milk supply, also what are some bottles that are most like the boob because I need my son to accept a bottle also ? help!
so start by pumping after each feeding. you won't get much but it will add up and increase your supply at the same time. depending on how often you LO eats, you can power pump a couple times a day too.. it takes about an hour. eat more oatmel, make sure your drinking plenty of water. remember most mom's make what their babies need and pumping isn't an indication of how much you make.. baby is better at getting it. also most mom's only pump enough for the next day meals or so.. a freezer full isn't necessary. my LO eats 2-4 oz each feeding, so I make 2 oz bags for easier use. it's easier to open the second bag than to waste 2 oz..
try several brands, each baby is different. we use the Playtex nursers with he drop ins. start by having someone else offer the bottle (you will smell too good), try it when baby is happiest and not super hungry (like after 5pm my daughter wants no one but me and usually comfort nurses).
