So I went to the dhhr as bad as I hated to. I got help with assistance and with that I had to agree to go after Tinleys father which I did agree, but I haven't heard anything else about the child support.

My neighbor has to pay child support and they went through child advocate. She said it wasn't even three weeks later and they started taking child support out of her checks.

So my question is should I just stop with the dhhr and go through child advocate?? I don't know what to do and mom said said she didn't know when I asked her.

That is up to you. I went through dhs child support registry. It took forever because they couldn't locate him and then when they did they have 60 days to turn in a employment verification, and if he disputes the amount then it can take longer and a court appearance. If they have a phone number and an employer it makes things faster and easier. Even if he disputed the amount they will start taking money from him before Court. It can also be delayed if he asked for a DNA test.

Make sure dhs has the phone number and the name of the company he is working for. They will send garnishment papers to his employer and a wage assignment sheet and his employer has to fill it out and send it back in. Then your biggest hurdle at that point will be to get the DNA test if he asks for one.

I'll call them tomorrow. He kept saying he was going to get a DNA test but I never have heard from him after that. @boymomplusagirl

@britt16 definitely call, they can tell you where they are at in their investigation, and new info helps a lot. I went through it with my boys father. If you have any other questions feel free to send me a message

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I need some help/knowledge on child support and taxes?! Her father pays child support monthly.. My daughter lives with me, I haven't filed my taxes yet. I'm planning on doing it this weekend. My ex just texted me and said - "Hey my dad is doing my taxes for me and he needs ur social security number n your full name, cause I need to claim back some of the taxes from the child support. And he said u can still claim Mia it won't affect it he already asked the tax people. So if u can send it over that be great thanks." However, when I googled it...I found out child support is outside of taxes. I FEEL like he's lying to me to try to get my social so he can claim our daughter. Anyone know?!
