rectal. I bought and used a forehead thermometer. I started freaking out when the forehead thermometer read that she had a fever so I used the rectal thermometer and it was a whole degree less. ever since then, I've been using the rectal one.

They always do under the arm at my hospital for my baby

Rectal but make sure you always always subtract a degree

everyone covered the neither part... but at my hospital, they say the temp should be taken under the arm also on infants... not always rectal

Rectal is definitely the most accurate. Elliot's ears are too small for the ear thermometer to go in, so it's not accurate.
