@momofemersonbliss, I have this one too, it just uses batteries bad.
The Exergen is not that accurate. I had issues with battery life. I still use the old school with the metal tip and always get an accurate temperature.
Use the normal one with the metal tip , when they’re smaller you’re supposed to use it in their rectum ( to get an accurate temp at least) , after the first few months you can use it under the arm .
We have used the exergen when kids were babied and now use an ear thermometer, not that exact model but I like it for toddlers on up!
Yea don’t over do it don’t over spend ever you barely use any thing
I still suggest the normal old fashion ones under the armpit 🤷🏼♀️lol
I have the exergen and for my toddlers, husband, and I it’s always been accurate. I usually do it twice just to be sure.
