Can you lose milk in one boob but still have milk on the other side??

yes. but that means you probably haven't used the affected side. unless there is a medical reasons, like lack of the milk making tissue in the one side.

I have mastitis been on antibiotics but now need to go in to the ER to see if I have an abscess but my nipple on the effected side is black and blue and red under my nipple and around my breast!!!! I'm nervous to lose my milk. I'm able to pump and nurse on my other side. I'm in so much pain!!!! @wiccanmommy

ouch. yeah that sounds horrible. sounds like you need stronger antibiotics.. do you use warm and cold compresses?

yes I do!! I'm in tears and can't seems to control myself!! They say to keep pumping to keep nursing all I do is cry @wiccanmommy

Idk. When I got it with my first, we caught it before it really started hurting, so I was ok on ibuprofen and Tylenol only. Probably something narcotic, so you might need to pump and dump (just ask them)
