Just depends on your body, some ladies get their period right away and some don't the entire time they breastfeed! Basically the hormones that produce milk (mainly prolactin) help to prevent you from ovulating, it is basically telling your body, "we are caring for a baby already, we don't need another one!" lol personally my period came back around 3 months post partum, then it was every 2 months for a while, then every month for 3 months, now it's wacky again and I skip months sometimes...I am 11 months post partum and I wish I was the lucky few who didn't get a period at all! LOL just be on the look out for classic signs of period coming like bloating, cramping, moodiness and whatnot, cuz my first period was horribly heavy LOL also, unless you want to get pregnant hella quick, use protection of some kind every time because you will likely ovulate BEFORE your first period, which can happen at any time and you could end up pregnant and not even know it 😱
