sorry for tmi but did everyone else experience heavy blood loss after giving birth? and blood clots when they got up to go to toilet after being in bed?

Yes it's like nothing else when u give birth. Blood pool in you when laying or sitting then gushes out
@syrennajade, I'm still bleeding 11 days after! Not as heavy as initially but still bright red and a fair bit!x
yeh i had big ones to up to i bled for 6 weeks afterwards but only had clots for week or two x

Heavy bleeding is normal but I'm not sure about blood clots. Only because they doctors & midwifes would always ask about that...
After I gave birth it looked like a scene from a horror movie!

@syrennajade, yes I did. It's normal for bleeding to be heavy after birth. I was changing my pad every 2/3 hours. And you will feel a gush when you stand up after sitting/laying down. If you're worried, check with midwives (if you're still in hospital)
@syrennajade, if there big clots u need to go back to hosp. i had this after my son and had to stay in 2 weeks as was still passing placenta then hemerohaged:(
dont just ignore it if its alot thinking its normal. xxx
