What exactly do I do to take the glucose test? do I take the drink with me and drink it after I check in w the blood ?

@babyace, so I got done with everything. the drink tastes like an orange flat soda with extra carbonation. it made me a little light headed but it wasn't that bad. I also don't have diabetes. thank god. good luck

@babyace, you drink the drink within five minutes. record the time that you finished the drink. They will draw your blood at exactly an hour from the time you recorded. don't eat or drink anything after you drink the drink though :)

No its not carbonated. it taste like flat soda syrup. at My ob they take your blood, wait 30 mins, then make you drink the drink, wait an hour, draw your blood, and do it again in another hour.

I don't think so it just tastes almost like it. like someone just put a lot of sugar into a fruity drink

I had lemon lime. it wasn't bad. I wanted orange lol. just not fruit punch cause I hate that flavor. its not so bad just like a super sugary discount brand soda lol

@fleajohnson lol yeah the Dr just said if I ate sweet stuff to not take it but I heard the orange one is nasty !

sorry didn't see the other comment so I kinda repeated everything my bad. they told me I could refrigerate it but I'm weird and like room temp drinks so I don't know if I'm going to yet.

no problem. I wish they had done mine that way. I went to the doctor Monday and they were like oh you have your sugar test drink this and sit for an hour. they didn't even warn me.

I'm drinking mine at home I don't wanna wait there for a hour. I also don't need a appointment. just tell the receptionist that you are there for the 1 hour glucose blood draw.

well with me I drank it there because they didn't let me take my drink home at all. but I think if they gave it to you to take home then you drink it an hour before you go if I'm not mistaken.

And yeah same here they told me to refrigerate it first bc it tastes better then to go to any blood lab @steph11

they gave me my drink to take home. I can drink it at home with in 5 min. I just have to be at my ob exactly 1 hour later so they can take my blood.

I had to drink my drink within like 2 minutes or so and then 1hr later they took my blood.
