anyone have inverted or flat nipples and are bf without a nipple shield?
it would nice to hear some success stories. with my first we used a shield. i heard its possible without one, my milk supply went away before we could try.

i never bf in public because i didn't get used to putting the shield on in public. Made me nervous or rushed. but i am gonna try very hard this time@ksmith16
Yes! After using the shield for a bit while trying to get her latch better. She fully latches now on my nipple. Just use the shield and then try your nipple each time until baby gets the hang of it then take shield away.
I was flat, they would only pop out a bit if I stimulated them. At first he couldn't latch right but then after a few painful feeds ,literally I could feel him pulling out my nipples, he got the hang of it. N now I have everted nipples!
@mommyrichardson, thats good! im nervous that she may not latch on and then i found it was hard to use a nipple shield because both sizes didn't really fit
My nipples were flat and I used a shield but I was able to fully transition him to my nipple

I have questions for women who breastfed with flat nipples, and didn't use a nipple shield. How did you do it? My son didn't latch and I got really discouraged, I'm very determined to breastfeed my daughter without a nipple shield but I have flat nips and I want to know how you ladies did it!
my nipple shields came in today. hope they work as good as ppl say.
