Does anyone here co-sleep? My daughter was born Monday at 4:14 am that night she slept fine in her cot in the hospital , but last night being home she would scream bloody murder the moment we set her down . Again tonight . She wants to be laying on my chest or she has a fit . I'm Terrified to co sleep but it might be my only option right now .

Haha after a week or so you'll have it figured out. It's alright to worry, your a new mom. I worried about it too in the beginning. Knowing I got a ton more cuddles that way made it easier too. 😀 Now I wake up to a smiling happy baby and it's the best thing ever. 😍

@isabellesmomma212, well I guess co sleeping is a lot more popular then what I had thought . That's probably what we will do as well sleeping wise , I'm kind of a heavy sleeper but not nearly as bad as my boyfriend an with my daughter here now I'm much less of a heavy sleeper . I'm a worry wart as it is lol , but I am trying not to worry too much an I'm sure once a couple weeks go by ill feel much better but since it's only been 2 nights my nerves have been sky high worrying lol .

Yes that's exactly how my little one loves to be. Put her on your chest like that an she's out lol . So I guess it's a normal thing atleast ! @jahnessagarcia and yes I am I breastfeeding @sabreycastro1996 an it's definitely easier with her being right there lol especially when you're exhausted , I'm glad I don't have to get up an go make bottles .

I co-sleep with my daughter. She's 7 months right now. When we first brought her home she did sleep in her cradle but I didn't like that so I put her between me and my boyfriend but he almost rolled over on her one night, thank god I'm a light sleeper, so after that we would sleep side ways in the bed, with my daughter up by the headboard, me in the middle and my boyfriend on the other side of me. Now since I'm so use to her sleeping with me that we can lay the right way in bed and she sleep on one side, me in the middle and my boyfriend on his side. I do put a small pillow on one side of her though just in case. Don't worry about it to much though, as moms we always know what our babies are doing, even in sleep. 😊

@lauren5786, when we first brought her home, every night she slept on my chest, she wouldn't sleep any other way. i guess its just a sense of security and warmth, plus skin to skin is really good for newborns. and if you are breastfeeding, co-sleeping is honestly soooo much easier. because im lazy, and all i have to do is turn over and feed her. 🙄 lol

This is how my daughter would sleep and I would just lay closer towards the middle of the bed. And just like cradle her butt kinda so if she moved i would feel it.

I have one of those as well , was so excited an my little miss doesn't like it lol): she like literally needs to be on top of my chest to be content an once she's there she's out like a light . @my girl3rdbabymiami I'm gonna try to lay her in it again tonight though

Lol my milk just came in today an whew buddy these things are full an messy as can be haha . For my my so has been sleeping in a separate area unless we are in the living room just because I'm too worried about her rolling over or anything , but eventually if I do have to co sleep that's probably what we will do ! I definitely don't like the whole separate sleeping situation @bugmama

I would love to co sleep , I'm just nervous is all but I can't continue getting no sleep at all :( I've tried swaddling but she gets so worked up from crying and screaming that she burns up so I think I may just have to try to safely sleep with her . @am ma_bear13-16 @sabreycastro1996

The swing I have I got used an didn't realize she would need to be bigger to use it ): I've tried setting her in her bouncer an she didn't like that at all either @lunden_hope so trying to decide if I should buy a smaller swing an see if she'd sleep in that

LOL i remember the soaking factor and am ready to start it all over again. I nursed and wore nursing tanks or bras to bed and usually kept him next to me. My husband slept next to me on the other side.

The first month with both my boys they slept on me or my SO then we switched to the bed. My husband and 3 yr old share a full while me and my 4 month old has the queen to insure there is plenty of room. I've been cosleeping safely for 3 yrs.

How did you sleep ? Like lay him on your chest , next to you , etc? I'm so worried to wear a shirt or anything that may be a suffocating hazard but my boobs are leaking so bad so I have to wear atleast a bra or everything would be soaked lol . @bugmama

I came from a co sleeping family. I have co slept with my son since he was an infant now he only climbs into bed if he has nightmares. I am going to attempt to not co sleep with this one but we will see what happens.

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?

I keep seeing posts saying co-sleeping is not safe. Co-sleeping can be completely safe. I co-slept until I was about 8, my niece co-sleeps most nights with my mom, my little sister co-sleeps, and my daughter co-sleeps with me every night. A baby can get hurt or die while sleeping alone just as they can while sleeping with someone, what matters is being safe. I hate sleeping alone and my daughter is the same way, I am not going to stress her by trying to force her to sleep alone so she sleeps in my arms every damn night. If I roll over she goes with me. If she whines or gets restless in her sleep I know immediately and I comfort her. If she gets hungry or thirsty I'm right here. Don't allow other's bad experiences with co-sleeping or even doctors dictate what you feel is right. You do what is best for you and your child.
