can anyone please give me tips on natural ways to produce more ive tried pumping and im obly getting 1oz per side and our little one is still hungry i try to bf her for a little while after she finishes the 2oz but im worried that im not producing enough for her and dont wabt to supplement 😞
Sometimes babies just want to suckle for comfort. Doesn't necessarily mean they're hungry. I see your baby is only 2 weeks old, her stomach is still so tiny. Mine was on my boob like 24/7. I breastfeed on demand. As long as she's gaining weight, having enough wet diapers, it's all good. But other than that, fenugreek capsules or powder, oatmeal, almonds or almond milk, Brewers yeast, Gatorade, lots of water
at first my son would nurse for a long time like that too but as he got better at nursing, he only nurses like 5 mins each breast
thank you i will have to get some and try it ive been nursing on demand and she will stay on for almost 2hrs and i see that she is getting something because i can see it run out of her mouth when she unlatches but its all confusing this is my first bf experience with my other 3 babies i formula fed this is definitely a challenge i weighed myself today and then held her and weighed again and it shows 10lbs more than what i weigh so she has gained 3 pounds since she was born on the 8th so shes gaining weight im just wanting to make sure she is getting enough
Fenugreek really helped me. It's an all natural herbal supplement, you can find it at any vitamin store and sometimes Walmart or target supplies it but it was a huge help :)
Have you tried fenugreek? It was a life saver for me and very inexpensive so you can stock up on it that's what I did
your supply is fine. if she is gainig weight & having wet diapers she is fine. most mom's do not respond well to pumps so never think what you pump is what baby gets. for the first few months baby is cluster feed which is what happens when they go through growth spurts. this helps tell your body how much milk to make. if you want try looking up things you can do to your pump to get more but the average mom only gets about 2 to 3 oz per pumping session.
