My 1 year old has a flat spot that hasn't gotten better ... Is there anything I can do ?

Don't let her lay on it. And it depends on how bad the flat spot is. If it's barely noticeable then it probably won't change but if it's pretty bad then there's a chance it could get better. My son has one but you can barely tell its there even with short hair. You have to look at it from above to kinda see it
