currently feeling like a human milk machine while hubs is sleeping next to me. 😖

I love that I've been able to breastfeed since baby girl was born, but boy sometimes these nights are tough to get through practically alone with my hungry little monster.

breastfeeding makes you extremely tired on its own. that doesn't include everything else that takes sleep away. i suggest talking to him. he has to remember you are still recovering from major trauma, which giving birth is to your body. the first few months sleep is very important to both of you but especially for you to heal & to bf.
@verobaby, thanks girl! and gotcha. she's a week today. can't believe it, but she is :( lol. she's been cluster feeding since day to, so feedings are literally every hour. I just get frustrated when hubs says he's so tired but only gets up maybe twice to change her. other than that I'm up for feedings and whatnot. I mean I've learned to manage and function on the maybe 3 hours of sleep I'm getting, but don't tell me you're tired when you get significant more sleep than me :( haha
we both work but he is out during the day more than me. plus he did fall back to sleep when i nursed so I'd be awake for a half hour or how ever long my son nursed. it's worked for us for the past 9 months. plus once baby starts sleeping longer you'll start to get more sleep. i know it feels like so far away but it comes faster than you think lol. i didn't check to see how old your little one is but night feedings do get a lot better. night pumping is what I really hated lol
I may mention that @verobaby . that's awesome of your bf though! hubby changes her sometimes at night - but I may go in with a 50/50 deal ☺
one way my boyfriend made it easier for me was he went & got baby, charged him, gave him to me, I nursed him, then gave him back to my boyfriend who put him back to sleep. I didn't feel alone & it helped him feel involved with baby
thats very true @mamabearluken ! the bond certainly makes it manageable.
definitely can understand that ! its tough watching hubby sleep peacefully all night while I'm wide awake feeding our little one. but I sure do love the special bond I have when its just me and my son at one am.
