My son is starting to teeth and he is 3 months about to turn 4 months. I have this but I'm skeptical to use it. What do you moms think?

The doctor told me not to use it until baby is 6 months and still recommends I don't . And my mom said not to use orajel at all. She said that it's meant to toughen the gums so the baby doesn't feel the pain, but then it makes it harder for the teeth to come in

I got that same one for my son when he turned 4 months. It seems to only help for a few minutes.
