I have a non pregnancy related question.... if any of you mama's have ever bought a house, what's the quickest you have been able to close on it? I know someone here in my town had like 2 weeks, but I wondered if that was something that was done often? my husband and I are going to possibly buy our first house (if financials work in our favor), and we want to move from where we are asap (there are seriously 0 houses for rent where we live). I was just wondering how soon we could move? there is a lot of drama with his mom and one sister right now and his mom said some extremely hurtful things to him and he wants to move (we live on his parents property)

We closed on our house in a couple weeks.. We made an offer they said yes, we got an inspector and they said some things needed to be fixed (roof, hot water heater, couple of small things) so we then told them they needed to fix the things they said for sale as is so we offered 10,000 less BUT we already got 5,000 off for it being paid in full in cash so he said yes. They will go faster if you're paying in full but it depends on the sale I think ours was a short sale

I can hope we can close that quick lol @ella1007 we just want a fresh start.... hopefully the financial end of it falls into place for us

I closed on my house in 8 days because the current owner was so far behind on payments he was about to be foreclosed on

this one has been on the market for quite awhile (at least a year I beleive) I am not 100% sure about anyone living there, there was someone but I haven't seen a car in awhile.... thank you for the information @ella1007

It depends on the seller usually. The attorney and mortgage company will close anytime. A lot of time it takes longer because the seller still lives there and asks for 30 days to get their new house and move. I would look for empty houses with motivated sellers especially ones that have been on the market a while
