To the ladies who received a breast pump from insurance. Did you need a script from your ob? Did you get the pump from…

I needed a prescription through my doctor/midwife and once I had it I was able to get a Medela pump in style through my insurance company

Edge park called me and said that It didn't go through because I needed a prescription for from my doctor, I didn't even know. So now I have to do that once that's done edge park can send It to me.

I ordered mine through Edge Park. They took care of getting the scrip from my doctor.

I have no idea how that works. I called my insurance and explained what happen and they said that my insurance should cover it because they cover breast pumps up to $500.00 and I was confused still am at my doctor appointment I'm going to have to ask.

I'm ordering mine through edge park too but I'm not eligible to order until Sept 1st because my due date is Oct 3rd

@ceeasquared, yea I figured I couldn't do it now cause I'm not due till 10/18. I just wanna have things in order early. Cause I'm at at risk for preterm labor

@lexirosex3, @amaperalta03 Here is what you do: 1. Call your insurance and check the requirements (how long you have to wait, do they supply or do you need medical device company, etc.) 2. Get an Rx from your OB. You can do it at your next appointment. 3. Go to Medela.com, type in your insurance, it will tell you what medical supply companies you can use. 4. See what pump you want, fill out the online form through the supply company, email them your Rx from OB. 5. They will verify insurance and then ask what pump you want. Then they will send it to you! I got mine in less than a week. Have had it since about 16 Weeks I think 😁

I think I might need a script but my midwife was like "Yea. No biggie." She told me it's really easy to get a script for one

I put in my order threw edge park and mines literally came the next day and I guess I didn't need a script because my doctor is a listed doctor on the site

I went through Aeroflow

I went through Aeroflow and got a spectra s2. Insurance covered 100% I just got a script from my dr.

They faxed the script to aeroflow

I got a prescription from my doctor and the place I can get the pump said I have to wait until 30 days until my due date or if I go into labor early I can get it when in labor and delivery unit
