Looking to see if anyone knows the answer:
My insurance company covers a breast pump, they said I can get the Medela Breast Pump In-Style. Does anyone know if it's just the pump they send you...no attachments, or do they send you the hoses & shields too?
yes! it's also great venting people who don't know you personally and can't throw it in your face!
I understand that's like looking symptoms up on good and you decide your dying that's why I love this app I'll ask my dumb questions and usually someone helps if they can
@phasion, on anyone's head for that matter. I've had drs tell me numerous times to stop looking things up because I'm making myself crazy. Google is horrible lol.
@steph11, thanks! @phasion I actually got my answer. I don't like looking things up on google. It sometimes makes things more confusing and I have anxiety as it is, so I try to stay away. Most of the time, the internet has misinformation.
yes it is I got it threw my insurance on the edgepark site it came with more breast pad samples but I stashed them somewhere
@steph11, that's the In-Style model?
@keaw, really? that's not bad at all.
@tae23, I figured they wouldn't supply the bottles or containers. I wasn't sure about the hoses. I added them to my registry just in case. @hooper14 I saw the website for edgepark supply and they kinda just show a general picture, I was assuming all of that wouldn't come with it. Thanks ladies!
A friend got hers pump through Blue Cross insurance and it was the pump and accessories as well as 150 milk bags with 2 refills of the bags. She'll just have to call for the refills.
When I ordered mine, through byram health care. They had a website that showed you everything you received. I will tell you this as well, the hospital gave me parts for my medela as well and charged the insurance while I was there
not yet but when I called I asked them what all it covers. it's supposed to cover the pump and "equipment/supplies" I.e. the tubes and everything. the only thing I don't think they supply (although I'm not entirely sure) is the storage containers for your milk and the breast pass
@tae23, did you recieve one through your insurance?
@mommy2b0615, I have Amerigroup Community Care under medicaid. I just had to get a script from my midwife. I do have to call back in June to order it though, but my midwife said that a lot of other insurance companies require an authorization. That's why I changed my HMO.
@hippiebaby89, what kind of insurance do yu have I called my insurance company yesterday nd they told me I have 2 get my doctor to fill out a pre-authorization form
Anyone with tricare know if they give you a breast pump? And if so, which one?
Does anyone know if superior Medicaid pays for a breast pump.
Does anyone know the website that you can order your breast pump through an insurance company?
Government Assistance and Breast Pump
Is there any mommy's on here that used to be or is on Government Assistance? And knows if they cover breast pumps?
calling all mommies who are breast feeding or excessively pumping .. how did you all do it ?? I know some people pump right in the hospital day 1 !! I know my hospitals here allows you to pump from day 1 and breast feed at the same time they just give you a breast consultant to explain and show you how so you don’t mess up and get a over supply to soon . Some people only breast feed for awhile than pump 1/2 later . Some only pump period ... what’s your method and how successful are you ?? And ho...
