I was 16 years old when I gave birth to my first child. I remember people thinking she was my baby sister and not my child. I remember getting crazy looks when I did say she was mine and that I was 16 years old. I never felt ashamed of being a teen mom. I never hid that I was pregnant or that I had a child if you ever met me Aaliyah was all that I talked about. Aaliyah changed me a lot and being a mom has brought me a joy I never thought I could feel. Yesterday my oldest child became 6 years old and I thank God everyday that he blessed me to be a mother to someone so amazing.
