I figured that I may as well share my birth story from last week. After a week and a half of off and on contractions, I was to a point of I didn't beleive it would stick or was real when they picked up on Saturday afternoon. I continued to do errands on tasks around the house even as they got steadily more intense. It took them getting to be 3 min apart, my bloody show, each one leaving me breathless and my SO and roommate making me to go to the hospital at 6 pm. I was 6 1/2 centimeters when they checked and admitted me. I stayed at that point even with constant, very painful contractiions until 10 and ended up having them break my water and getting an epidural. At 11:30 ish it was time to push and she was here at 12:45 am Sunday morning. Only 2 very minor tears for me and I was up and moving the next day helping take care of her. She developed jaundice but 24 hrs under the lights and she was well enough to come home with me on Tuesday.
