All preemies have acid reflux so that's probably what it is. Definitely sit him up more when feeding and keep him sitting up for twenty minutes after each feeding. Rocky has to be on medicine for his acid reflux and he still spits up so so much
I'm a nicu mom mh daughter was born with an infection stayed in the nicu for 10 days i recommend giving half the bottle and burping then giving the rest and burping also avoid having lay down after eating sit him up for a lil my daughter is currently having that problem but she spits up from her nose also and that's what her doctor told us to do
I'm a NICU momma, my son went through a similar phase, we started sitting him up more when he ate an that helped. It's very possible that your little one has acid reflux. If you are feeding formula it may be that as well... Are you using neosure for preemies by similac?
the spit up is normal for babies. I would try burping more frequently when feeding. my baby was really gassy...not a nicu mom.... but my baby spit up alot. it was at least once or twice a day. I'd burp her like every two ounces to be honest. that might help you out hunny! :)
My son was born with respiratory distress and was breathing fast so he was there a week. I also gave birth to premature twins born early at 6 months they spent a week there before they passed away so we have been down the Nicu road before.
My son is a week old today and I'm still having a hard time getting him to eat a full meal by bottle. And last night he spit up a large amount and the last couple days he has spit up a few times.
Is that normal or okay? I'm so scared of him regressing...
