well I'm finally going to share my birth story... I went in on Monday evening to start my induction after being 1 week overdue.. they put the cervidil in, and things started out slow.. however 3 hours after it went in it made my contractions suddenly start, 2 minutes apart causing the baby some stress so they pulled it out and let them slow down. the next morning they started my pitocin.. things went well through the day with some contractions on and off.. that night they put the cervidil in again.. I wasn't in too much pain until around 6 pm.. they gave me some pain medicine and it didn't even phase the contractions.. they were super strong in my left hip and wouldn't let up. I was in tremendous pain from the combination of back labor, and baby boy was stuck in my hip. around 2 am I was still only dilated to 2 cm, so the midwife kind of opened them more and gave me my epidural. all the next morning they ran Pitocin but the baby's heart rate kept dropping because of the stress. around 11 am wednesday, i was still only 6 cm dilated so they put the internal monitor on his head and decided only 10 minutes later that he was in too much stress. so they did an emergency c-section.. at 2:13 pm I gave birth to my amazing little boy, weighing 8 lbs 13 oz and he was 21.5 inches. After puking up amniotic fluid for the first day, he has now kept down two bottles. despite our failures at breastfeeding, he has finally learned to suck and is taking a bottle like a pro. I am one proud momma. I'm just glad he is eating ❤👍
Absolutely!!
