Hi ladies,
This is for the newly 1st time mummies second or more time mummies have any of you had a c-section and what was your experience? what would you say are the pros and cons? I have been told that a c-section would be best for me to consider, due to previous labour and health issues! vaginally baby would be safe!! but there is a possibility it could leave me with more damage and long term issues. I'm in two minds 😣x

Thanks you for your comment hun! it's really reassured me :) I was in two minds risk making my life harder through a natural birth or a few weeks of discomfort and needing a little more help! I think I know what is best for me in the long run! I have a two year old who weighed 5.9lbs and he done me some damage! I lost 700ml of blood with him and 3, 2nd degree tears inside also the impact of pushing has weakens my backside I've lost bulk and strength 😣 so the possibility of a normal birth could potentially make it worse! I'm definatley more positive towards a c-section now thank you xx @abbyjaninescott

I originally was going to have a natural labour but Willow shot up in size on the growth chart at 40+4 so was told I needed a c section to avoid complications. It all went really smoothly the needle in your back is nothing like you expect. Really not as bad as other may say. but I recommend you take pictures as your body does go into shock a bit and cuts out memories which was the only downfall in my eyes but was lovely looking at the photos after. I'm super sore but the scar is incredible it's Barely visible. They put me on morphine of pain relief as well as paracetamol and ibuprofen and then for about a week after you have injections to thin your blood which I've been doing at home. I recommend you get some high waist baggy pj's and bottoms to wear after as normal clothes will sit on the scar as it's in your knicker line. Support in your first few weeks I'd recommend also as it is hard to move about sometimes especially if you forget to take tablets regularly. It's not painful it's more of a discomfort. But all totally worth it and nothing to worry about xxx
