Soo ive got an Anterior Placenta. Ive seen this mentioned on here before but had no idea what it really means. Can anyone tell me if it means i wont be able to feel movements for a while? or what the dangers are? 😓

i have one thats quite high on left.. my boy loves to lay on the right so i had a period where i barely felt the kicks due to that cushioning them but now i feel everything.. i was 20 weeks for first kick xx

I had an anterior placenta :) And felt movements from 11-12 weeks and proper kicks at 17 weeks :) there's no dangers as such...you just have to be careful not to knock your bump xx

@chaitea, completely depends on where the placenta is/where baby is lying. I've got an anterior placenta and sometimes I feel really strong kicks and sometimes barely anything xx

I actually found out I have an anterior placenta, but I've been feeling moment since about 16/17 weeks, and I'm now 24 weeks today and I even caught him kicking and recorded it and can see it, so I dunno? It's supposed to be like a big cushion at the front and they say you tend to feel more movements towards the bottom or the sides of the placenta, @chaitea xx

I found out I have on Saturday, they told me not to be worried if you don't feel anything up till 24/25 weeks. It causes no harm to you or baby and there is every chance it could move xx

I haven't had/got one but seen posts about it, some women still feel movement early on. I think it just depends on the baby and your body. It is normal not to feel movement early with it and also not strong movement but my cousin still did. I also think it can move itself too (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think it's anything to be concerned about though xx
