I feel like breastfeeding and emotional support should be the same category 😩😭 I produce plenty of colostrum, baby just likes to fall asleep after only a few minutes, or he fights me until he's almost inconsolable

i was told that i they fall asleep on the breast gently stroke and play with his chin. hopefully that works.
Hang in there it gets better. We would change our little one then keep her clothes off while she nursed. Even then it was hard.
That's normal. some babies get it on the first try, many don't get it until the 500th.

Pump a couple oz of colostrum. Babies stay super sleepy the first few days. Once she starts to wake up a bit more, you can can pump for one feeding a day and add half an oz of colostrum to it.
