I feel like breastfeeding and emotional support should be the same category π©π I produce plenty of colostrum, baby just likes to fall asleep after only a few minutes, or he fights me until he's almost inconsolable

That's normal. some babies get it on the first try, many don't get it until the 500th.

Pump a couple oz of colostrum. Babies stay super sleepy the first few days. Once she starts to wake up a bit more, you can can pump for one feeding a day and add half an oz of colostrum to it.
