I always said I wouldn't co sleep but I don't get any sleep at all when I try and put him in the rock n play or crib 😒 he wakes up and cries every 15-30 minutes but stops every time I pick him up. What do I dooooo, just give in and let him sleep with me?
I always said the same thing but for the first 3 wks I coslept, that was the only way I got any sleep. The last 3 nights I've been able to rock her to sleep and put her down in the pack n play. Is she gassy maybe?
@kellynicole, yeah I know that's what I keep reminding myself! I know it'll get better it's just such a big change 😅
Just remember that your baby just spent all this time in your belly and now he's in the world which feels like he's on his own so he finds comfort in being held by his momma. So night times are gonna be rough for the first few weeks. Stay calm and drink plenty of coffee 😃 it gets better
@mamajuls06, thank you so much! I'm definitely gonna try all that, hopefully something works I'm going crazy and it's only been 3 days lol
@haiydensmomma, omg I had the same problem! My son is almost 3 weeks old and what I do is keep him up a little later then his "bed time" take him a bath swaddle him, rock him to sleep and when I know he's out for sure I lay him in his crib with his sound spa on and what I do is roll up 2 small blankets and put them on the sides of him so he feels real close in (not by his face) and he stays asleep for 3 1/2 hrs until feeding time and falls right back to sleep after wards the same way.. The dr told me I couldn't use bed time Johnson and Johnson because it could give him a rash but if your dr gives you the ok then go ahead! I hope you figure something out mama!
Okay I will try all that! Thanks girl I hope it helps a little @mommyofthr3
do u use a pacifier? keep him awake a little before bed time and give him a bath, that helps them sleep good. I use the bedtime Johnson and Johnson. I rock him to sleep on my chest and when sleep I swaddle him and lay him down in his rock and play with a sound spa on the heart beat sound. @haiydensmomma well this is what I do and it helps my son sleep for a good 6 hours at 2months but since u have a newborn he may not sleep that long. I hope this helps.
my baby co sleeps with me but for him to actually go to sleep we figured out the other day that him taking a bath and then being swaddle helps A LOT! we don't use the bedtime johnson and johnson we just use the regular one. i also just go on pandora on my phone and play little lullabies and that all works pretty good. last night he went to bed in under 30 minutes which is heaven because it's been taking him hours to go to sleep
