im 39 weeks and my dr is a looney tune. by now i thought they start to check you, you go in for weekly appts, talk about what type of birth you want instead of what they believe (personally not professionally), and all that stuff. i tried asking these things and they refused to check anything other than babys heart beat, told me to now start the weekly appts just cuz im asking so many things but they dont see it necessary, and the dr told me she will let me go to 42 weeks reguardless what i say or want cuz she believes thats best. am i wrong to be annoyed and kinda worried since they aint hardly telling me anything?

could've sworn that did it not you. I don't remember bc it's been forever since I've been pregnant and I'm only 18 weeks. it's very serious though bc if you have it and your baby gets it they can get meningitis and die or have complications
I thought it was standard to start weekly appointments at 36 weeks or so..that's what my doctors have told me and everyone else! That's bizarre.
they handed me the swab thing explained what to do then left the room for like 20 minutes...if they ever actually did anything with it idk cuz they never told me anything either way @michelle2220

yes! only cuz i was asking so many things and anxiety shot up so blood pressure shot up. if it wasnt for that they wpuld still have me at 2 weeks @zaysmomma

I would have left them a while ago if that's how they treat you. You really should tell the damn doc that it is your body and your baby and that you NEED to be checked. If not I'd tell them to fuck off and I'd go to a random ass doctor that will take proper care of you and your baby
