Do not use these things to test how well your pregnancy is going. They're not that accurate! Anything can change the results. How much water you drank, how long it's been since you peed, how well manufactured each stick is. Don't do this to yourself.

Clear blue sucks at dates. It gave my friend a false negative 6 times if not more then one of the tests said she was 3 months pregnant when she was only weeks in. I'd get blood work done

No implantation cramping can still happen around 6 to 8 wks since the baby is burrowing deeper in your lining. Sometimes when the placenta attaches you cramp or even slightly bleed. I bled like a period at 7 wks with a little cramping and I was 100% sure I was miscarrying. Im currently nursing my little miracle :).

Sometimes when your hcg is so high, it gives a false reading. I'm assuming it's called the hook effect like pp said. I've seen it happen many times. But if you are concerned then it's better to go get checked out to put your mind at ease.

I got noticeably lighter HPTs when I was around 6 weeks and everything was fine. I hope it's the same for you!

I know levels can drop off and I would maybe go to your hospital to have an HCG test.

When I was pregnant with my second I started bleeding at what would've been 6 weeks. I went in to have my HCG level tested and then went in 24 hours later to make sure it was doubling.

Is that something you can do to ease your mind?

I wouldn't put too much trust on these tests. When is your next OB appt? Idk about your office but they're able to do u/s at mine, I'd try to get one done or at least use a Doppler just to ease your mind.

Can be the hook effect. The higher your hcg gets, it tricks pregnancy test. I wouldn't freak out. Go for blood x

Cramping is also a sign of implantation. So sorry newly the first trimester sucks especially if you have experienced loss before. For that reason, I can never enjoy my first trimester. Everything's a bad sign and I always jump to the worse conclusion. If it weren't for the support some of the most lovely ladies in this app, I would fall apart during that time. So I am staying positive for you because I am hoping for the best outcome!

I really wouldn't put a lot of faith into these tests. Your urine could have been or diluted or anything. I would call though my dr to see what they say though. Dont stress momma!

Hey newly! Have you had any hcg draws? Other than that I wouldn't entirely put all my faith in these digital tests. I feel these are designed more to detect pregnancy than detecting pregnancy levels so even the slightest thing can throw them off. Heck sometimes the hcg is so high it messes up the results. I was like 4 months pregnant when I found one of my hpt. For funsies I peed on it (bc I am a pee-a-holic) and the line barely showed. I felt it should've been darker for how far along I was.

What I am trying to say (sorry for the long ramble) is that please don't stress over this until you have an hcg draw or ultrasound. I will be praying for this to be just a defective test and that everything's just fine. Try to see your dr and ask for an early u/s. Hugs!!!

Being completely honest, that doesn't look good. Was hcg 53 your only draw still? I would call your doctor requesting another draw and if you can leave a note or a patient portal message about this that might get you a better answer.
