My birth story .... I went to bed about 11 i couldnt sleep..an at 4 in the morning i woke up in a puddle of warm water with excruciating pain...I didn't know if my water broke I thought I peed on myself lol.. When I got up more water came running down my legs.. I quickly knew my baby was coming ..I quickly woke up my husband an then called my mom to come ...my mom called the ambulance an 20 min later they came...so my mom followed me an my Husband to the hospital ...By that time I wanted to DIE the pain was so umbarable...They quickly put me on the Monitor and a Catharsis an started monitoring Adrien they noticed he was taking a while to come out they started me on Pitocin shortly after they started me on an epidural which didn't work at all , gave it to me 3xs an nothing..I did not feel relief at all all I felt was pain by 9 & a half centimeters I couldn't keep on anymore I looked like death an kept screaming at the doctors telling them not to touch me and my privates so talked to my doctor an just decided to do a C-section they gave my husband and all white outfit and sent me off to the emergency room sterilized me and the utensils then drugging me with the most strongest drug they had I believe ...I just remembered crying because the pain was so bad I was in so much pain especially in my rectal area but i couldn't wait for Adrien to come out next thing I know I'm drugged up an hear a baby cry see them taking out my baby from my body(had a mirror on top of me so I could see) and began crying hysterically about 2 minutes after I passed out and woke up in a room to breastfeed my baby boy ...an still felt drugged an so much pain from the C-section.....that was one experience I will never forget but also one experience I enjoyed the most in my life...I love you baby Adrien

Многодетная мама (6 детей)

I started having contractions the night after my doctor stripped my membranes (Friday night) and they became strong and consistent so at about 5 am I drove myself to L&D while my husband stayed behind with our kids. As soon as I got there my contractions went from 5 to 8 minutes apart to 15 to 20 minutes apart and then they were 6 minutes apart again and I hadn't dilated anymore (I was 2cm), so I was sent home where I lay in bed with these contractions all day and night until about 6:00 the next morning (Saturday, my due date) I got out of bed because I felt a pop, like my baby had punched my cervix. I knew that my water broke because I felt the warm water so I woke my husband and he rushed me back to the hospital. My contractions were getting worse. The nurses put me in a room where I was checked and I was dilated to 4 almost 5. I was in so much pain all I could do was cry and cry. I'd never felt anything like that before. They ordered my epidural and almost didn't get it to me in time. I was dilated to 9.5 cm when I finally got my relief. I was able to rest for about an hour and then it was time to push! My baby girl was born just 3 and a half hours after my water broke. It was extremely painful and fast but so worth it. I had been drinking red raspberry leaf tea for about two weeks before I had my membranes stripped, and I believe that had a lot to do with why my labor progressed so quickly after my water broke!

At 38 weeks I was so over being pregnant that I had gotten my membranes swept. I went to bed that night with no signs of labor. I woke up at 8:30 the next morning used the restroom then went back to bed. I rolled over and felt what I thought was round ligament pains. 3 minutes later I felt it again but worse. They stayed 3 minutes apart and continued getting worse. That's when I knew it was contractions. My boyfriend woke up and asked if I was ok. I told him we needed to get to the hospital asap. We got to the hospital and they admitted me. They gave me some medication to ease the pain till I could get the epidural. The medication made me sick and I wound up throwing it up all over my boyfriends leg. An hour after being in the hospital they gave me the epidural. 3 hours later I was starting to feel cramping and pressure. The nurse checked me and it was time to push. 15 minutes later my son was born. As painful as contractions are, it was all worth it.

March 24th, 2016 I woke up at around 7am to use the restroom and went back to bed only to get up 5 minutes later to feel my water had broken. Called SO and him and his parents met me and my mom at the hospital around 8. Got checked in and was 3 cm dilated, the same as my appt. the previous day. Was checked again around 12pm still 3 cm. Around 2pm I was started on Pitocin to get things moving and as the hours dragged on I started feeling my contractions, so I asked for an epidural but had only reached 3 1/2 cm. Finally my dr. said I had to op for a c-section. I just couldn't dilate. I got really emotional but mine and SO's mom made me feel better since they had been there before. At 9:43pm my beautiful baby boy Rein made his appearance. When they showed him around the curtain I cried so hard then fell asleep from exhaustion! He is the greatest blessing to date and I love him. ☺️

Мама четверых детей, беременна

At 32 weeks I was already 3cm with sporadic contractions. At 34 weeks I was 4cm with sporadic contractions. At 36 weeks I was 5cm still sporadic comtractions. 36 weeks 3 days I woke up at 4am to contractions I started timing them and after a hour we set off to the hospital. I was admitted by 6am and started on IV fluids. I got a epidural around 10am and at noon I started pushing. I had requested a walking epidural so I could still feel what was going on but to the extent that I couldn't focus on what needed to be done. After just 3 pushes my beautiful baby boy took his first breath. Orion Maddox was born weight 5lbs 15oz on father's day last year. It meant the world to us that he came on father's day as me my husbands first child was born while he was deployed to Afghanistan. It's almost as if Orion knew how special it was that his daddy got to be home for his birth and wanted to make it extra special

I went in at 5am to be induced. Wasn't even dilated 1cm at 39w 3d. They got my IVs all hooked up and the pitocin was started at about 5:30am. I was progressing pretty quickly. I reached 3cm in about 2.5/3 hours and my doctor came to brake my water. I laughed the whole time she was doing it. After my water broke, contractions got WAY worse. At 5cm I got my epidural. Boy, was that a life saver. About 3hrs later I was at an 8. I slept for a little while, and when I woke up I told the nurse I have to push. She checked me and I was at 10cm, and she could see the head. We did some practice pushes (about 3 or 4), then she told me to wait till my doctor got in the room to deliver. They couldn't find her and she was taking what seemed like forever! I kept telling the nurse I can't hold it in, I have to push. Finally my dr came in, got suited/gloved up and about 15 minutes later out came my baby girl. 7lb 10oz eyes opened ready to see the world.❤️

I was dialated to 5cm and 60% effaced, having painful contractions on and off for a week and the hospital kept sending me home saying I wasn't in active labor. I woke up on a Tuesday morning and when I got out of bed I said to my husband "I think I'm peeing myself and I can't stop" I realized my water had broke. He frantically starts getting my things together (of course I didn't have my bag ready, I told him I didn't want to be looking at it just sitting there lol) I told him I wanted to get in the shower. Reluctantly he helped him in there. It consisted of holding my stomach and crying. I got dressed and we drove to the hospital. My contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and SO painful! When I got to the hospital they checked me into triage, my husband told the nurse that I was already dialated and probably at 7cm by now. She said "well we'll see, I have to check to see if her water even broke" it felt like forever, she was taking her sweet time. When she finally checked me I was at an 8. As they are wheeling me to my room another nurse asks what my birth plan is. I tell her that I am getting the epidural. She looked at my husband and told him it was too late for any pain meds. I heard him say "oh shit" I looked at the nurse and said that I NEED the epidural! I just got to my room and they are still trying to set it up for a delivery, I told them I have to push right now! I can not wait! I start pushing while a nurse is trying to take my blood, my husband said that needle was basically popping out of my skin but I didn't feel that one bit. I pushed as long and as hard as I could. My husband just kept saying "you can do it baby, push push PUSH" I watched the whole thing. When he was crowning, I watched myself push out his head, then the next push it was his arms and shoulders, and the last push was his butt and legs. They immediately placed him on my chest and I have never seen anything more beautiful and amazing. I did it 100% natural (totally unplanned) and had my baby boy at 9:13 Am. He is now 7 months old and if I could, I would go back and do it all over again the exact same way.

🎉💙🐰 -- Birth Story -- 🎉💙🐰 Antywho, Sunday, Jan. 3rd my boyfriend and I finally had sex after me avoiding it from fear of starting labor. Although I was ready to have my baby, I wasn't ready for the actual process of having my baby. So, we did it... & lets fade to Monday. I noticed that I had little bursts of fluid coming out of Paige (my lady parts) - I tell my mom and she says something about getting her bag ready for the hospital. I roll my eyes and go to work. Throughout the work day I have mild cramping pain and back pain. In conjunction with the pain, I'm "leaking", still bursts. I sit at work and talk to co-workers and they're telling me to go to the hospital. I call my ma and she's like we need to go in. My boyfriend is like I'll do whatever you want to do. Finally around 3, I give in and they come get me (mom and boyfriend). On the way, I call my doctor and by the time we arrive to L&D the office calls back and tells me to go to L&D. They take me back, refusing to give me a wheelchair. 🙄. Antywho, get me hooked up to the machines and the on call doctor comes in and checks me for dilation and takes some of the fluid to test to see if it's my amniotic fluid leaking. At or around 5:40 they tell me it is && admit me to a room. By this time I'm starved and I'm asking the nurse can I eat. She tells me no, and I continue asking until my mom says, "you're being a brat, her answer isn't going to change." 😕. Anyway, the on-call OB from my practice comes in and she's super pushy. She's like we're going to put you on pitocin and speed up this process. And I look at her and tell her no. I would like to allow my body time to do things on its own. Though I understood her reasoning for the rush. (Leaking fluid puts baby at greater risk for infection etc.) Pushy Sue tells me she'll be back @ 1030 to see if I've dilated and if not going on the pitocin...I say okay. At 7 I get to eat. And they hook up the iv, at 730 pm my mucus plug comes out. So, 10:00 pm in walks the OB and I hadn't dilated so pitocin it was. Initially I felt nothing in terms of contractions and was thinking oh this is cool. BUT around 3:00am contractions got intense. And I began a slow death of pain. I deal with the pain until 5:00 am and I tell my boyfriend to get the nurse and get me a damn shot. 💉 The nurse came in and asked if I was sure and I said "yes, this is horseshit." In walks the shot guy 10-15 minutes later. He does his thing and I tell them, "Hey, I'm still feeling pain on my right side." The nurse said something about it not evenly distributed and suggested I lay on my right side which didn't really help...I then felt contractions on the left side. 🙄. At 8 am my OB came in and explained that i haven't really dilated much so we needed to up the medicine. I explained to her that I still feel contraction on my right side and she called someone up to fix the problem. She also explained that they can't check me for dilation as much as they would like because of me still leaking fluid and risking Jace for infection. At 10:00am they come check on me and I actually have a fever...so everyone is freaking out. Jace is kicking fluid out of me and contractions are intense on the right side. I'm placed on Tylenol, antibiotics, and they up my pitocin in hopes that I will dilate. The nurse tells me that I will have to do a c-section if I didn't hurry up before the deadline set to dilate which was like 3pm. I wanted to kick her in her face, but was too weak. Number one because she isn't a doctor. 🤔. Antywho, I get checked again at 2:50 and I've dilated to 8cm. I cry and thank baby Jesus. In that time of wait my boyfriend, mom and I prayed...because c-section was a definite no on my ways to have a baby. Finally dilated a little more my doctor gave me more time to let my body work naturally, although she was concerned because of me having a fever. Fever finally broke around 8:00 pm and I had dilated to a 9. My OB came in and said C-section and I was like, "whatever, I'm tired...I just want my baby." Well, the nurse on duty, was like I don't want you to have a c-section so she and my mom and boyfriend encouraged me to push. I pushed and somehow dilated to 10. Mind you I'm so weak and I'm like, "people really push out children?! This isn't easy." Instead of pushing out baby, I push out lots o' poo. (You're welcome for the tmi) The nurse is looking sad and tells me my baby's head is stuck behind my pubic bone so she doesn't forsee him coming vaginally. I agree and in walks my OB explaining to me the process of c-section. Finally, go up and I tell the doctor that I feel them pinching on my skin...he asks me if I'm sure...and I'm like yes. They then put me to sleep and apparently at 11:37 pm Liam Jace was extracted. 😃🎉. I wake up to my mom and boyfriend. And my mom says Travis said your baby looks like a white you. 😂. I'm so out of it though that nothing registers. My son is in the nicu for various reasons...they want to proactively fight any infection he could have had because of me having a fever. And also for 4 minutes he didn't breath after coming out of the womb; which they blamed on the anesthesia. They took me to nicu to visit him and he was perfect. (He still is if I may so humbly say so myself) My boyfriend came in also and we took photos but I was so full of drugs that I couldn't keep my eyes open. We went back to the room and waited on Jace. He came finally after a heavy sleep and immediately latched on to the boob. 😊. So, yeah the end. My son was born 1-5-16 @ 11:37 pm weighing 8lbs, 1oz and measuring 20inches.

I woke up March 6th (the day before my due date) and went for a walk with my mom. As I started down my street I started getting weird pains, to the point where I had to stop walking while I got them. I wasn't sure if they were contractions but as the day went on they got progressively worse. Around 4pm I made my way to labor and delivery where my contractions got more intense and I was 4cm dilated. As soon as I got in the birth room my water broke so I then got my epidural because this caused my contractions to be about 1 min apart and veryyyy strong. The doctor came in and checked on me every hour. After 5 hours I was givin pitocin due to no change in dilation. She let me go about 2 more hours after givin that and still.. No change. Because of this I had to go into a c section which was my worst nightmare. I was given a spinal tap and began to get so sick and shaking uncontrollably from the medicine. At 2:45 am, my beautiful son was born. It was the most scariest, but best day, of my life.

my Dr stripped my membranes on a Wednesday. that saturday I started having mild contractions so I went about my normal day. that night I started timing them and decided to go to the hospital at 2 am. I was still only 3 cm (I had been for 3 weeks) so they had me walk around L&D for an hour and it didn't do anything. so they sent me home. Sunday I spent the entire day throwing up and having diarrhea. contractions getting stronger and closer together. we went back to the hospital at 3 am and they admitted me. my plan was to go natural. so they got me settled in my room and I got a birthing ball and some ice chips and spent a lot of time walking around and bouncing on the ball. Monday around 10 am my water broke. later on they checked me and I was 9 cm. I thought I was gonna have a baby soon ! then my body said no and I wouldn't go further than 9. I was stuck there for 6 hours. at that point I decided to take the epidural bc I hadn't sleep or eaten since Friday. I ended up sleeping for 3 hours bc I finally couldn't feel the contractions anymore. finally at 1030 Tuesday May 10th I was 10 cm and ready to start pushing. pushed for 4 hours and he just wouldn't get past my pelvic bone. they called in another doctor to try and help and if nothing worked quickly they were rushing me for c section. the new Dr said my baby was facing the wrong way and we'd have to use the forceps. with 3 good pushes and an amazing doctors help my baby boy was born at 3:36 pm. on my due date. so 65 hours of labor (most of it natural) and 5 hours pushing. most painful thing I've ever experienced but I would do it a hundred times again for my sweet boy.

I was 40w 4d over due. Mine started on a Tuesday night I was having contractions but they was irregular. So I decided to get some sleep and see how tomorrow was considering I had a doctors appointment anyways. I woke up that morning still having them so I called my doctor and hey asked me to come in early for a NST. So I did and nothing was strong enough yet and I was only 1 cm. so I left there and decided to try and eat some spicy food at a Mexican restaurant. The waiter gave me he hottest stuff too help me lol after that we went on a walk around the mall for 2 hours. At the period in time I was having contractions but not anything too bad. I was still laughing and having a good day. Well when I got home I used the bathroom and noticed that I was bleeding. I didn't pay no mind because I bled the last time the checked my dilation. Well it kept progressing through the night when I realize around 8 I was having more painful contractions so I decided to time them. But the time I went to bed, I was still too irregular. 2 am hit and I was crying in pain. And went and told my mom that I was in so much pain and bleeding. My contractions were 6 mins apart at this time. So she called the doctor for me. The immediately told me too come in. So I went and woke my SO and told him I needed to go. So we get on the road. At this point I'm super excited lol so we there and they check me and fortunely I was 4 cm so they admitted me. Well the day kept going and my water never broke and I was stuck at 4cm. So the doctor broke my water. A few hours later I was 2-3 mins apart but only went up too 5 cm. so the doctor decided to put me on pitocin to help. I got my epidural finally and it only numbed one side so I had to have them come back in and move it over too numb the other side. After that it was cake. Lol 9 o'clock came and I was finally at 10cm so they are preparing me for pushing. I'm laughing having a good ole time and ready to see my daughter. I pushed for till 10:15pm and at that time I got too see my daughters beautiful face. All the pain and patience was the best I've ever felt. I didn't sleep from Wednesday morning too Saturday afternoon from excitement and nervousness. She is 3 months now and I would still do it all over again.

I went to the hospital on the morning of my due date with constant, strong contractions but was sent home because I was 3cm. that whole week I was walking the island (castle island in south boston where I live ) to get the whole process started by Thursday night I was having really strong contractions and I wanted to go to the hospital so I. made my husband go with me knowing he had a long day at work the next day feeling terrible because I thought they were going to send me home again. we got there at 2 am the cab driver was funny he ran to get a wheelchair and I was like no I need to walk this baby needs to come out lol. at 3 they checked they told me that I was still 3cm almost 4 and they were going to give me fluids and send me home so I sent my husband home because he had a 16 hour work day to start in a few hours and told him I'd call a cab and go home myself because I didn't know how long I would be there. the whole time I was getting fluids I was having the worst contractions ever and kept having to move because it hurt so bad and the nurses had to come and to adjust the monitors all the time at one point I was standing up trying/praying for the pain to stop so I could try and sleep. little did I know those contractions were the going to be the same pains I felt as my child entered to his world. it was about 4:30 when a nurse came in and said we are going to induce you today because your over due and his heart rate dropped a little once so he going to come today. I called my husband and my sisters and my friend and told them. by 6am my twin sister and my husband were in my room my sister was like how's the pain bothering me ,my husband was exausted but went to get me pancakes and bacon and was trying to feed me but I was so tired and in pain I didn't want it ...I should have eaten it all because before I knew it I was in a delivery room being hooked up to pitocin and more fluids and told I couldn't eat. around 5/6 before the nurse shift change at 7 I got the epidural because I was in the worst pain. it kinda worked for a little I tried to watch some t.v called my sisters by 8/9 my older sister who had two sons came and the epidural wore off I got 2 extra doses before I just had NY husband start holding my left hip where all the pain was. I wanted to push so they paged the doctor and she agreed I was ready. I started at 12 am on July 11th & jorge Isidro Gregorio Jr was born at 12:18am they placed him on my chest and waited for his cord to stop pulsing and his daddy cut it. my whole body was shaking for at least and hour after. my older sister helped me put him on my breast and ever since then we have been boobie strong . in less than a month jj will be a year old. @preggie_usa

Long story short: When I FINALLY went into labor at two days shy of 42 weeks, my labor progressed pretty normally. When we found out that my daughter was much to large for my smaller than average pelvis, I was rushed in to have a cesarian. Once we were all in the operating room, all at once I heard a crash...a nurse had fainted! Of course, all of her friends / other nurses rushed to her side, but, my daughter was in distress at this point. So, my doctor, ONE nurse, and the anesthesiologist continue to perform the surgery ALONE while another doctor rushed in to care for the fallen nurse. It turned out that she had fainted from a blood disorder. Luckily her fainting lead to tests, which led to the diagnosis. It was definitely a crazy, hectic operating room! But, everyone made it out alive! 😅

well my story is two days before I was 39 weeks I ended up going to the E.R. due to not feeling good. when we got there my blood pressure was very high so they sent me to the birthing unit. They monitor me for two days and when I turned 39 weeks they induced me at 8 am. I wasn't fully dailated but having contractions a minute apart. so they slowed them down and got me more dailated. by the time I was fully open at midnight they had me push. I pushed until 6 am then took a small break so I can sleep a bit. well by 6:30 I woke up very sick and they had me push again. finally we all decided a c-section was the best for me. they got me all ready. they took me in got my Rose out then I started to bleed to much. they tried everything to stop the bleeding and they finally did. I had to get two blood bags in me. I could barely move that night. it was a very scary situation for me to bleed out but I'm greatful it stopped and I can have more kids.

My husband was a full time college student and worked overnights. At 30 weeks I went to a regular prenatal appointment where they told me my massive amount of swelling was due to droning too much milk. They also checked my son's heart rate and told me that was 160 bpm (normal) which was not true. I due then measured around the waste which was the thing that finally tipped them off that something was wrong. I was way too big so she ordered and ultrasound. I went to my ultrasound and found some major health problems with my son. I was admitted, but then I was transfered via ambulance to the children's hospital (an hour away from home ). They found that my son had supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), hydrops, and a bicuspid aortic valve. The bicuspid aortic valve was nothing for us to worry about and had no effect on his heart. The hydrops we found out is what was causing my son to be so swollen. He had extra fluid in every part of his body which caused my body to "mirror" his symptoms hence the excessive swelling in my body. Babies with Hydrops only have a 50% chance of living. That's not a high chance in my mind. He also was diagnosed with SVT which is a high heart rate. So when I was told it was 160, it was actually 300 bpm. So at 30 weeks I was diagnosed at children's hospital for treatment. Doctors were able to treat hydrops fairly easily and the swelling quickly started to go away. There was still some after he was born, but easily went away shortly after. I was in the hospital for 4 weeks getting treatment and daily ultrasounds. At 1 in the morning I was sleeping while getting monitored. I was 34 weeks. They found that my son was not getting oxygen. So I had an emergency c section. I really did not want a c section. I wanted no medications, no epidural, no pitocin. Instead I got what I least wanted and I was by myself. My son had to get out to survive. Thanks to all the drugs pumped into my body, I don't remember meeting my son after the surgery. I was then transfered to the hospital next door while my son stayed at NICU in children's hospital. For the first 3 days I didn't get to see my son. I was able to pump and my milk came in great. When I was able to walk, I wad discharged and I went to meet my son. I tried breastfeeding but he was just not able to get it at all and couldn't latch. Eventually the stress, lack of sleep, and dehydration led to my milk supply to fail. So when he was a few weeks old I started him on bottle feedings worth formula. I was depressed during this time too. Nurses were in the NICU every hour. He still had SVT, but the hydrops was gone. He stayed in the NICU until he was 6 weeks old (his original due date) and then we were able to take him home. He had to be on heart meds until he was 18 months and had regular monitoring. He outgrew his SVT now and he'll be 2 in September. It was really hard during that entire 10 weeks, but I had support from family. People praying for us. I was just really in love with my son that everything was just worth it.

Мама троих детей

My contractions started on 9/16 at about 11 am I didn't think they were real thought they were Braxton hicks contractions. I put my older daughter to sleep and I was still feeling the contraction I decided to take a bath which usually calms me down and let's me go to sleep. It didn't work at all. The previous three days I had very high blood pressure and I was actually at the hospital being monitored on Monday but since my blood pressure was normal the full time I was given Tylenol and slapped on my ass and sent home. 😩😩 through out the night in and out of sleeping I was feeling stronger contractions and I was feeling a lot of pressure downstairs still thought they were Braxton hicks. At about 4 got up went to use the restroom and when I wiped I just saw a little mucus decided to try and go back to sleep at 5:30 am got up again and felt like I had to poop this time when I wiped I saw bloody show. I waddled into the living room looking for my husband but found my son eating jelly beans. Waited outside the bathroom to tell him I was bleeding. My husband response was" I think it's time" naw really 😳😳😳my response was crying " I don't want to have the baby alone" and "I need to take another bath" lol who was I kidding while in the bathtub I screamed my fuck me I'm in labor for real scream. My husband came in the bathroom and said " I'm calling the ambulance". By that time I was on the bed with just a really big shirt coving me who has time for underwear. Four really hot firefighters walked into my house😏😏my husband is explaining to my two older kids that the ambulance was coming to take mommy to the hospital to have a baby. With this being said my kids get two chairs and sit in them like they are waiting for a show. 😂😂I was the show they were missing popcorn. Since I wasn't timing contractions they told me they were 3 mins apart and my blood pressure was 186/77 which is very high. Then one of them who I will refer as mustache guy👨🏻asked me if I felt her head which thank god I didn't. The ambulance was on the way when it finally came they loaded me on the ambulance and mustache guy 👨🏻asked me if I had my trusty washcloth which I kept stuffing in my mouth every time I had a contraction so I wouldn't scare them lol who was I kidding. 👨🏻He said "I'm glad you have that if I had to I would go charging back into your house to get it for you" 🚨🚨🚑🚑with a short ride to the hospital my contractions were 2 mins apart they took me straight to labor and delivery. Once there the midwife checked me and I was 9 1/2 centimeters dilated with a bulging water bag. My water never broke the midwife told me either " she can give me an epidural for the pain while I was having a contractions or she would break my water bag and the baby will be here shortly" I voted for just break it cause the pain was horrible and I was having all my labor in my back. The midwife 🙋🏻said "are you ready for a baby" my response was "no but she is almost here so knock yourself out doc" she broke my water and I just felt all kind of pressure and warmth. Doctor " fluid is clear she is crowning"😩😩😩next contraction she told me to push. Not even a few seconds later another contraction and in one really big push she was out. My beautiful baby that gave mommy gestation diabetes, high blood pressure, lactose intolerant. Apparently I lost a lot of blood during the labor which I wasn't aware off and that I had her early due to preeclampsia which they didn't watch me for. But that is my story

I was 41 weeks and scheduled to be induced. Went to the hospital on Sunday night night dialated at all. The nurse gave me an oral dose of cytotec then to bed for the night. Monday morning doc checks me first thing and I'm not dialated so I take another oral dose of cytotec. He checked me that afternoon I'm still not dialated so he gave me a vaginal dose of cytotec. He came at the end of the day and checked me and I'm still not dialated. He says 'we can give you something to help you sleep tonight and hit this hard tomorrow. If you want I'll start you on pitocin at 6am' Ugh what a painful day (not literally). Next morning (Tuesday) he starts me on pitocin I dilated maybe to a 1 and the he inserts the foley bulb. Anyone who's had this done knows it's no joke - its like a little balloon that's meant to dilate you to about 4-5cm. Immediately when this went in I was feeling contractions wow they were painful. My nurse makes me sit on a birthing ball and move around even though I really didn't want to because on top of the contractions that bulb is super uncomfortable it made it hard to walk. So about an hr later I went to the bathroom and peed the bulb out. Which was the goal. What a relief when that's out - for about 5-10 minutes then intense contractions start. Doc checks me and I'm a 4 so he breaks my water and there is meconium( baby's first bowel movement) in the fluid. I asked for an epidural the nurse asked me to wait but I couldn't.. As I was getting the epidural I felt an electric shock go down my right leg so I jumped- that wasn't fun. Immediate relief for about 2 hrs then it was time to push and I felt a lot of what was happening.. 2 and a half hours of pushing and baby Andy comes out ( not breathing) meconium aspirated into his lungs but pediatrian took him and worked her magic and I got to hold him a few minutes later. My little blessing.

I went work on a Monday like normal at 38 weeks, 6 days. By the time my credit union opened at 9am I was having cramping and back pain, but it was mild and not regular at all. One of the girls I worked with kept asking me to go out to lunch with her so I caved and we went to get subs at firehouse subs. Around 1:10pm I text my husband and told him I'd been having mild contractions all day but nothing regular. He responded and said, "oh I was hoping you'd tell me it was time." Not even five minutes later my coworker and I stood up to head back to work and when I stood, there was a huge gush of water and I immediately sat back down and just looked at her and said, "my water just broke!" All of the employees came over and were so nice! They offered me a free bag of chips, gave me a towel and a plastic bag to put in my car so I didn't leak all over my seat! I called my husband, the hospital, and our families on my 10 minute drive home and the hospital told me not to rush. I took a shower and got ready. We arrived in labor and delivery at 3:30pm with my contractions 3-4 minutes apart. I had an epidural at 5:15, started pushing around 7:50, and my son was born at 8:27 pm on November 23, 2015 weighing 8 lbs 5 oz and measuring 21.75 inches! He was born just in time to be home for thanksgiving day 😀

I got my membranes stripped on a Wednesday. Contractions started but weren't consistent. The next day around 4 my water broke. I knew it was my water. I went to L&D and the on call dr did the swab test. She kept saying they were negative. She tried to tell me that I had some kind of infection and gave me antibiotics. I knew that wasn't the case and that my water had broken. I had an appointment the next day thankfully. That night I couldn't sleep. My anxiety was horrible, I was so worried about my daughter because of the risk of infection after your water breaks. Well the next morning at my appointment I told my Dr what happened. She immediately checked me and the strip instantly turned blue. She did the microscope test too. She burst back into the room and told me she called L&D and they knew I was coming. They put me on fluids and antibiotics and we're giving me the pill to help me dilate. I dilated up to a 4 and my nurse convinced me to get the epidural so I could rest. So at about 3 am Saturday I was getting the epidural. The anesthesiologist had to do it twice because the first time he hit a blood vessel and got blood everywhere. They put me on the highest dose of pitocin and we waited. The epidural made me extremely nauseous I couldn't stop puking I was so miserable. I dilated to a 6.5 and stopped dilating. They tried to say my body was too relaxed, but really my daughters head was too big & got stuck. I threw in the towel. I begged my Dr to give me a c-section I couldn't take it anymore. My boyfriend was so nervous. The anesthesiologist was the wife of the one that did my epidural. My boyfriend kept checking on me while I was on the operating table but I wouldn't answer him because I felt so sick. At 8:14pm, Saturday, February 13th, my perfectly healthy 9lb 2oz beautiful baby girl arrived.

I wasn't having any contractions when my water suddenly broke out of the blue. It was about 5:30 when it happened. I yelled to my boyfriend and he went and told my aunt. Soon enough we had a small convoy of us heading to the hospital. In the short drive of 45 minute my contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart by the time we got there. When I got there I was between a 4-5. An hour later they gave me medicine to help with pain, then about another hour later they gave me my epidural. After that kicked in they checked me and I was at an 8. Within 45 minutes I was fully dilated and ready to push. I ended up pushing for almost 2 hours. By the end I ended up needing forceps to help, which caused tearing and stitches. Altogether my labor was roughly 5 hours long.

Мама дочки-младенца, беременна (32 нед.)

I went in to preterm labor at 32 weeks. My mother took me to the ER because I had started bleeding and was a little worried. thinking they would send me home I told her it will probably only be 30 minutes to an hour we are at the ER, no problem. We get there and they check me and told me nope your closed up but yes you are bleeding from somewhere. This whole time they have me hooked up to the monitors. After 30 minutes from the check the doctor comes back into the room and said some things not right your having contractions 2 to 3 minutes apart ( I had no idea I was having them). She checked me again and I had dilated to a 2. she left came back 10 minutes later checked me and I was at a 4 100% effaced and the baby was at a -1 station. Needless to say they rushed me to a labor and delivery room, and told me I was having a baby. They started pumping drugs in me to try and stop the labor and gave me a fast track steroid plan. fast forward a week and they got me to stop dilating, but not stop contracting. The doctors labeled me high risk and told me I couldn't go to a midwife- they then changed their minds at the end of the week and said I was no longer high risk and was clear to go to a midwife. The midwives rejected me and refused to see me leaving me without anyone to go to. After being sent home from the hospital, that same Monday night I went back because because I was running a fever and had contractions every went to the ER and after 30 minutes they turned me away. we went home where my temp stayed at 102- 103 for 2 todays. On the third morning I started throwing up and was so weak my husband had to carry me into the ER. they took me and started running tons of tests. a they had me on oxygen, heart monitors, cold ice packs around me and the whole work up. my white blood cell count was 30,000- that's 3 times the safe amount a pregnant lady should be. they started ultrasounds and a CT- scan. they found that part of my lungs were collapsing and I was not able to breathe correctly. they concluded I had had a UTI for months and had a worked it's way up to both of my kidneys and up.and around my uterus and was trying to work it's way inside the sac. after 2 days they told me they had to take the baby they didn't have a choice. on Saturday I was induced they had me on oxygen the whole time and at 7:42 exactly 12 hours later I pushed my baby girl out! They had me prepared for an emergency c section. And everything ready to go if she wants breathing on her own. she was a very quiet baby and didn't cry much when born but she could breathe and eat well!

i woke up at 530 am on september 17th like any other day.(i was going to go to my moms because i was afraid of going into labor and not having someone there considering due date was september 18th) well i felt like i REALLY had to pee so i ran to the bathroom and i only had a small gush so being a ftm i didnt know if it was my water or not(i expected what happens in movies) so i got ready and went to my moms, i told my mom that i thought i was having contraction( the were SUPER mild at the begining) well at 9 am we called my drs office knowing i was in labor then but to ask when they wanted me to go to the hospital, they said to head there(my contractions were all over the place) so we got there and i was 3 cm. luckily i was the only one there so i went and got in the jacuzzi after a bit. well after a hour in the jacuzzi i got out, after about a half an hr i was crying my eyes out from the back pain...the regular contractions werent even bothering me. so the nurse asked me if i wanted to get back in the jacuzzi(i was still only 3 cm) so i said yes. she told me if i got the urge to push to get out bc they dont do water births. about 10 mins in the tub i suddenly had to push so we let the water out quickly and pushed the nurse button(my mom and bf were with me) and we went back to my room. the dr then checked me again and i had jumped to 8 cm(5 cm) in 10 minutes. after a bit i was feeling uncomfy and exhausted so i decided to do the IV meds(this was about 545 pm) and she told me they only last a hour. well at 7 pm i was FINALLY 10 cm so i started to push, i felt myself tear and after telling them numerous times i couldnt do it and them telling me i was doing it my son was born at 7:23 pm at 8lbs 10oz and 21 inchs long♡♡♡ i wouldnt wish back labor on my worst enemy. due to mine i literly had constant contractions for 10 hours.

Мама четверых детей

My labor started naturally on the 18th at home around 11am, the contractions felt different than what i had been feeling, it was so hard for me to sleep and get comfortable. They were very inconsistent most of the day even stopping for an hour or so. I had a sonogram that day to check on him since i was 41weeks 3days, i also had a midwife appointment the following day to go over the sonogram and to talk about scheduling induction. My sonogram went great and everything looked fine. The doctor who performed it commend me on making it so far lol it made me feel like a war vet or something. I went about my day, nothing really changed until later. Around 10:30-11pm i called my midwife, my contractions were more intense and i was really starting to feel uncomfortable. She told me if i felt like i needed to i could come in and get checked and if i wanted to if i was not progressed from my current 1cm dilation i could go home. So i decided it would be best to get checked out it wouldn't hurt to be sure, the car ride there my contractions picked up and were about 4 minutes apart at that time, before they had only been about 6-10min apart. I didn't get to the hospital till about 12:15am which i had to go up and down the elevator a few times because getting to l&d was a bit confusing lol. Once there they went ahead and started getting my info and blood pressure. I was finally checked and found out i was 4cm dilated so i decided to go ahead and stay. I progressed fast, by 6 am I was already 7cm and my bag was bulging they we're surprised it hadn't ruptured yet. I asked for some iv medication so i could get some rest which helped a lot, a few hours went by and i was asking for more medicine which again helped me sleep but I wasn't dilating anymore, I stayed at 7 for about 5-6 hours. my midwife had came around 12pm to break my water, which they were surpised it was still clear. I was then offered an epidural at that time and also to start pitocin if my contractions weren't getting stronger after i got the epidural. Since i was very tired and not able to relax well, i figured the epidural would help me progress. Which it did help, but it was so painful, i was crying from the pain. It was more painful to me than what i was feeling from contractions, my nurse was so sweet she was comforting me and rubbing my shoulders, she was my favorite nurse out of the three, lol it was funny when they broke my water i kept telling her i felt like i was peeing myself but she told me i wasn't. once i got the epidural my contractions picked up intensity and gradually they put me on pitocin to increase them. we started to switch sides using a peanut ball to make my contractions stronger and to help move him down into my pelvis. I was able to sleep most of my labor and really relax after the epidural, it made me so tired. Around 6pm my midwife came to check me and found my baby was posterior so i had to switch sides a lot which wasn't easy and get on my hands and knees to try to get him to turn, she would then check me in a few hours to see where i was and go from there. At about 9pm we had found i was at 9cm and baby was engaged in the pelvis and it wouldn't be much longer. Shortly after that i felt the slight urge to push which only got stronger and was very uncomfortable ro resist, even having an epidural it was still intense all i could do was try and relax and breathe. I kept telling my nurse i had the urge to push and she just kept saying that, that was great. It all happened so fast. The nurse finally went to check me after i kept telling her i had to push, so she looked and said his head was right there. So my nurse went to get my midwife, she almost missed it with how fast everything happened. She came in and asked me if i felt like i had enough energy to push for 2-3 hours. I told her I'm sure i could, i had literally been sleeping all day long and felt really energized. She gave me the okay to push so i pushed, then she told me to look and i saw my son sticking out about halfway, so many emotions we're overwhelming me at that time. She told me to push again and so i did, then saying one last big push but i didn't even have to push that time, he just slid right out lol. She placed him in my arms and i immediately started bawling, my midwife went on about how big he was and how thick the cord was, and how fast he came out. My husband was in awe, he was so into me giving birth and seeing him come out it was amazing. My husband didn't even want to cut the cord at first but once in the moment he didn't hesitate. The nurse even took pictures. I was able to hold my son for about an hour and a half before they weighed him, Born at 10:19 weighing 8lbs 15.4oz 23.25 inches long. I only had a minor first degree tear required a few stitches, my husband cringed at that though lol. It was a wonderful amazing experience i loved it. I would do it a million times over if i could.:)

A few weeks before I was induced, I started showing signs of preeclampsia. I had higher than normal bp, some protein in my urine, and I had a headache for a couple of days. Not to mention I was so swollen everywhere. They triaged me a week before I was induced and saw nothing wrong with my blood work and sent me home. The weekend before they induced me, I did a 24 hour urine hug and they found 6 grams of protein in my urine and told me to come to the hospital to be induced. I was ready for her to be here. But I wasn't dilated at all and was only half way thinned out. They had to put me on magnesium on an iv and stuck me 6 times before they could get a good vein. It took them about 2 hours just to do that and they had to use an ultrasound on my veins since they were so deep. And they used liticane just so I wouldn't feel the needle. Since I was on the magnesium, I wasn't allowed to walk or stand while on it. I had to use a bed pan and it was humiliating. After 12 hours of induction they said I still wasn't dilated at all. They let me have liquids before the next dose of induction. They gave me more of the medicine and that's when I started having the worst headache ever. I got Tylenol 3 times but it didn't work. Around midnight on Wednesday night, they said I was 2 cm dilated. They offered me a choice of doing more of the induction medicine or starting the pitocin. I started crying because I was miserable. I was starving and I had an awful headache. They started me on the pitocin then. They ended up giving me some good meds for my headache that made me very loopy. I would close my eyes for a second but it felt like an hour whenever I did. The nurse kept checking me every hour making me pee a certain amount or else I would need a catheter. But the pitocin was working and when I was 5 cm dilated, my ob broke my water. I got my epidural right before that so I didn't feel a thing then or whenever they did more of the cervical checks thank god. But of course every now and then my epidural medicine would wear off and I would feel the contractions and they were so bad. I was having back labor since she wasn't facing forward all the way. They gave me a button to up my dosage every time I would start to feel them. Whenever someone would touch my leg, it felt like it was asleep and tickled. Around 7 pm on Thursday, they told me I was 9.5 cm dilated. They didn't come back until around 9-9:30 to check me again when I was 10 cm. They got everything ready for me to push and had my mom and boyfriend each hold one of my legs. When the head started to come out, my boyfriend looked and said it was freaky. When she came all the way out, he looked then too and said he couldn't unsee what he saw lol. My mom said it was the coolest thing she's ever seen (she had a c-section with me so didn't know what it was like to have vaginal labor). When the ob brought her up for me to see he called her a little squirt and I started laughing and crying at the same time because I was so happy. I only had about 8.5 hours of active labor, and only 40 minutes of pushing. I only needed 2 stitches as well since her head was so small. She came out being 6 pounds 8.4 oz, and was 19.5 inches long. She was absolutely perfect and I knew right then and there my life was changed forever.

Мама двоих (младенец)

I was due May 16th.. Had a c section scheduled for May 12th.. At 32 weeks I started going twice weekly for NSTs (non stress tests) because I had high blood pressure before my pregnancy.. At 38 weeks May 2nd I went In for an NST at 11:15am I started having mild regular contractions every 5 mins.. To me they just felt like strong Braxton hicks.. The nurse came in and said were gonna do an ultrasound because the baby's heart rate was dropping at the peak of my contractions. The ultrasound was great she was doing everything she needed to do. Then my OB came in about 20 mins later in street clothes and sunglasses and told me the radiologist called her on her cell phone which is extremely rare and alarming for him to do. He told her the cord was around my baby's neck 3 times and it looks like it's really tight! By this time it was 1:45 I called my boyfriend and told him to get to the hospital NOW he was getting off work at 2:30 he thought he had enough time to finish but I called him back at 2 and said get here NOW I'm having her NOW! He came in at 2:20 while they were prepping me and at 3:19 she was born!! I was so scared she wasn't gonna breath on her own being 2 weeks early.. I was able to watch her being born by reflection on the light. I saw the cord and watched my doctor unwrap it while counting out loud! Once I heard her cry I cried! They cleaned her up and put her on my chest I was so thankful we got this picture because almost immediately I got really nauseas and they took her away and gave her to daddy while the anesthesiologist held a bag for me to throw up in.. Thankfully I did not!! She weighed 6 pounds 10.2 oz and was 17 1/2 inches long. Today she is 6 weeks old is 9 pounds 4 oz and 21 1/2 inches I love my baby girl! We named her Aubriella Jayde Roberts ❤️

I went in for my 37 week check up. everything was normal. just slightly dilated to a 1 and no 0% effaced. what wasn't normal was my blood pressure. so we rechecked it after my appointment was over and it was still kinda high. So my OB sent me to L&D to be monitored. well my appointment was at 9. I was still having high blood pressures so they checked my urine for protein. during all this the nurses kept telling me I would have my baby girl that day but that I needed to wait to talk to my OB first. she finally came to see me at 1. she explained I had developed preeclampsia and that because my daughter was breech I would be having her that night after clinic closed via c section. so with only 4 hours to prepare for what I figured I'd have had another week or two at least, my husband and I scrambled to make calls and get things prepared for the arrival of our daughter. she was born at 5:48 pm on 11/2/15. she weighed 6 lbs 2 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. perfectly healthy. she was our first and was our miracle baby since neither my husband nor I were supposed to be able to have kids. now we are expecting our second, a little boy, due 10/20/16!

I was high risk while pregnant simi bedrest for two months, low iron the whole time. Got put on full bedrest on July 6,2015. Due to high blood pressure. Spent 3 1/2weeks in the hospital.

Was induced when I got to sick to carry any longer. At 37 weeks 1day. Was in the hospital for 5days. Went home on blood pressure pills that did not work & full bed rest intill October.

My baby wouldn't gain weight so had to pump & bottle feed & his jaundice got high was under the light. After still no weight gain at a month we had to use formula. I mixed breast milk & formula together intill he no longer. would take breast milk. (Sorry about the long story & pic it's the best one I got with my crazy eyes lol it was the meds couldn't eat for days)

Мама дочки-младенца

On April 13th I woke up around 430am standing up (I don't remember getting out of bed) I thought well I'm up I should pee, as I wiped I could see blood again (I had visited Labor & Delivery the day before cause of bleeding). My back started to hurt so I soaked in a bath and it didn't help much. I told my husband I was in pain but my 39week appointment was later that morning and I wanted to wait it out, though it wasn't getting better 2 hours later and we decided I should go back to L&D. The midwife said I was almost completely effaced and still at 1 cm (2 weeks at 1cm) as well as in a neg 1 position and that the bleeding was most likely my bloody show or mucus plug-I asked if she could do the membrane sweep and she agreed. It hurt something fierce. She only got about 50% of what she would have normally do, I had asked her to stop. I could feel my daughter did not like the sweep the midwife had to move her head to do it. We were given rules to walk more, have sex with in 6 hours and track the contractions. We went home and the back pain got more intense and closer together. I face times with my mom through out the day(she had to remind me to breath). As the day progressed so did the contractions. By about 9 we went back and the new midwife said I had progressed to 3cm but didn't think I was in active labor because it had been so long inbetween visits. They also said it was too early for the epidural that is need to be at least a 6 for them to admit me and get the epidural. She asked me to go walk around the hospital or Walmart and come back but I knew I couldn't walk and more, so she sent me home with a script for Ambien to "sleep". She called it her "miracle" 3cm drug. I took it and instantly my contractions got worst. My husband fell asleep and I tried to but couldn't. I took a bath, felt like I needed to push so I got out. I then crawled back and forth from my living room to bathroom for 20 minutes before waking my husband to take me back. As we got the the hospital the contractions were so bad I fell today the ground outside hospital. They got me a wheelchair and we went to L&D for the 3rd time (3 hours after our last visit). I was finally at a 6. I was admitted and blood was taken to see if I could get the epidural. I was climbing up the bed I was in so much pain. They have me some kind of pain medication (I can't remember the name)to help me "not care" about the contractions, it did nothing. They then came in to give me the epidural and after that I was happy. I got my last couple hours of sleep before my little girl arrived. They woke me up because I had to much pain meds in my system I would stop breathing while I slept and my daughters heart stopped. I was put on oxygen and they asked to break my water. Scary thing was they were worried about an infection because they said "what is that yellow liquid?" I'm guessing urine.. Idk still. They had to doc come in while I "practiced pushing" my husband felt faint while holding my legs he got sick once and had to sit down a second time lol. We pushed for about 10 minutes, the doc said he might need to use forceps to get her out unless I could give three more good pushes. I was about to give them and at 7:13am on April 14th 2016 my beautiful 6 pounds 15oz 19inch long baby Payton was born. My life has never felt more full of love and scary as it is now. I wouldn't change any bit of pregnancy or labor because my girl was 100% worth it.

February 3rd 2016, I was scheduled to be induced. It was the day before I hit 40 weeks and I was miserable. At my 38 week check up I was dilated 1 cm and my doctor felt that I'd definitely progress before my induction date. So I get to the hospital, bags packed, family eagerly waiting to get the process started. I was so excited to meet my son. After I was admitted, hooked to ivs etc.. The on call doctor came in to check me. She felt no progression. No big deal right? Just start the pitocin lady. (Side note: my cervix was extremely high my entire pregnancy and so it was excruciatingly painful each time they checked me.) 3 different doctors came behind her to check me, including my own doctor. Eventually they broke the news to me and said it wasn't a good idea because I'd probably end up with a 24 hr + labor that would very likely end in a c-section. I bawled my eyes out for hours. I remember feeling so depressed. I thought my baby would never come out! After my entire family spent the day trying to cheer me up and help me get things progressing by walking the mall and shopping, I ended up starting to have contractions around 1 am. I had my "bloody show" and I knew this was it. I waited about an hour and a half to tell anyone to make sure things would keep goin, and I continued to labor at home for a good 3 hours. When I got to the hospital I was definitely in labor. After the doctor checked me and traumatized me from how absolutely painful it was she announced I was 4-5 cm. I was in shock from the pain so I couldn't even comprehend that. After getting to a room and getting settled in I was given pain meds through IV. when I was 5cm I got my epidural and it was a lot less scary than I imagined. Easy as cake. Soon after things progressed quite fast. I remember the nurse telling me that if I felt like I had to use the bathroom to let them know. I started to feel that way but nothing too intense so I didn't say anything until they came back in about an hour later. Turns out I was 10 cm and ready to go. My heart dropped, I was really about to meet my baby boy. I was scared/ excited/ nervous all at the same time. My mom, stepmom, and little sister stood by my side and held my hand while I pushed which only took about 30 min. If that! I watched everything in a mirror that they provided which was actually pretty amazing to see! My sons head was actually plugging my cervix so that even when they broke my water it didn't come out like it should've, so as the doctor pulled him out, she was hit with a wave of amniotic fluid. Gross but hilarious! It took about 45 min to deliver my placenta and I lost too much blood throughout the process, along with my blood pressure dropping dramatically. It was all worth it, and if do it a million times over! My baby boy is now 4 months old 😊

my pregnancy was not planned whatsoever I was stripping and I was always intoxicated or smoking when I found out I was pregnant I was already 11 weeks along and was haveing a threaten miscarriage I immediately stopped smoking and drinking but I start to struggle with stripping getting sick a lot so I ended up losing my job and being homeless as soon as I got help from my family I went home to my mom confused at first about who baby's father was my whole pregnancy until she was born i got a dna test but he still chose not to be in my daughters life and I had no money for clothes so I was stressed at 7 months prenant not to mention when I finally starting seeing a doctor I had gestational diabetes and they said she might be 8-9 pounds so I ended up being induced at 39 weeks 5 days my baby was born on may 9 2016 at 4:35 weighing 6lb9oz 21inches and although I'm a single mother im not alone I thank god everyday for my blessing she truly changed my life 😍😍

I had had a doctor's appointment on May 24th (my due date was May 25th) where I was only 1.5cm dilated so they scheduled an induction for May 31st. I had gone home and had BH all night until I fell asleep at 4:30am. I woke up at 6:30am having contractions and began timing them around 7am. At 9am my fiancé and I went to the hospital, where they told me I was 3cm dilated and that they were admitting me; They ended up giving me induction medication anyways to speed things up, and at about 9:40pm I began pushing. 25 minutes later, May 25th @ 10:05pm I was blessed with my little Aidan Christopher Itachi Contreras who was 8lbs, 20.5in long ❤️

I had been having Braxton hicks for weeks especially after sex. well my husband and I had made love in the middle of the night so when I woke up at 5 am with contractions that's what I thought it was. at around 6:30 I told my husband I thought maybe it was labor so I wanted to go to the hospital. We got our stuff in the car, took our daughter to my mom's house and headed to the hospital at around 7:45 am, lots of rush hr traffic! it was getting really intense by the time we left my mom's and we still had about 30 mins before getting to the hospital. I told my husband to take the freeway but he said his way would b quicker (it was) we walked in the hospital at 8:15, I got in the room and they checked me right away. I was 4 cm. not even 10 mins later I felt like I had to use the bathroom really bad. I called the nurse and she said she needed to make sure it wasn't the baby's head, I argued with her that she'd just checked me and told her I was going to go right there on the bed if she didn't let me go lol. She checked me and I was at 10 cm and the head was crowning!! she called for the Dr and my body started pushing, I couldn't stop it at all, I reached down just as the Dr was walking in the room and I pulled my son out! It was so crazy and I was in shock! everything happened so fast I couldn't believe it. and if we would've taken the freeway like I suggested we would've had him in the minivan!!! He was born at 8:41 am. so 26 mins after walking into the hospital :)

i was at my 37 weeks. on tuesday April 5th my so and i had sex which after i had blood a light cramping so i went to the hospital. they admitted me at 2am on the 6th which was my birthday. i spent my whole birthday in the hospital and didnt get discharged till 10 pm because my progress had stopped. thursday i walked around a lot and the 8th after a shower i notice liquid puddled. so i dried myself and the floor brushed my teeth and more liquid came out i went to l n d and they confirmed my water broke at 9 30 am. i was 4 cm with only small contractions every 3 to 5 mins. at 4pm they decided to give me pitocen to help me progress more. and i noticed a huge difference right away. before the meds my contraction could hit 100 and i barely felt it. after it i started feeling them at 30 and by 60 i has rolling in pain. by 5 i was given the epidural. with in an hour i went from 6 to 10. so the medicine couldnt keep up with how fast i was progressing. and by the time i had to push i was to numb to push and i had to get help with i guess a suction thingy. i had my baby at 654pm

I was 37 weeks and 5 days on Tuesday April 19 went to my 37 week appt my blood pressure was I the last 3 appts so my doctor sent me to the hospital. When I got to the hospital they put me in a room and monitored my bp and my bp was high then good so the doctor came in and told me I had two opinions I could stay and start being induced or come back on Thursday they gave me a few minutes to think about it in that time my bp had went high again the doctor came back in told me they decided it was best to keep me and start inducing.. By 1:00pm I was in a L&D room and hooked up to an IV. They checked my cervix I was not dilated or effaced. At 4 they put a pill by my cervix came in and checked at 6 I still wasn't dilated just a little effaced so they told me I could get dinner and we would try again at midnight. At midnight they came in and tried another pill. By 2 on Wednesday I was at a 2cm then they finally decided to put a balloon in my cervix and started pitocin. Around 5 the balloon fell out and I was at a 4cm then they broke my water.. At 6:45 they checked me I was at a 4.5 cm they told me if I don't have him by noon on Thursday I would have a c section. they came in at 8 and I was at 6 cm then I got the epidural.. At 9 I was at a 7.5 and the epidural was only working on my right side so they came in and moved it to the left of my spine then I couldn't feel anything. I stayed at a 7.5 til midnight when the nurse came in with a exercise ball that was shaped like a peanut I laid on my left side with the ball between my legs for 30 mins then she would drop the foot of the bed and my legs would dangle there for 30 mins then I'd lay on my right side with the ball between my legs I did that repeatedly til 3am on Thursday April21. The doctor came in checked my cervix I was finally at a 9.5. At 315 am my nurse comes in tells me we are going to start practice pushes I push twice and she tells me not to pish anymore she could see my sons head so she calls for a doctor 4 times finally the doctor walks in at 330 and I start pushing my son was born at 406am Thursday April 21 8lbs 21in long he was only a week early. ( I don't have any pictures of me and him right after birth because they took him to get checked over do to him breathing really fast)

I was 34 weeks and 5 days when I had Rocky. I went in for my 34 week appointment on Tuesday, May 3rd. They told me my blood pressure was high but not concerning. I went home and Wednesday it was terrible. I went to the hospital Thursday and spent a couple hours there due to high blood pressure. They sent me home to do the 24 hour urine collection and I didn't pee a lot at all. Friday I took that in and went and had an ultrasound to make sure he was healthy and measuring right. They said they'd call me, but never did. Saturday, I started feeling bad that afternoon but didn't think about it due to bedrest. I figured it go away. Sunday morning I woke up instantly feeling terrible. Brandon said I looked really pale so I took my blood pressure and it was 177/122. Brandon had worked until 7am so my mom took me to the hospital. They monitored me for about an hour and my blood pressure wouldn't go down. My doctor came in and checked me again with an ultrasound to see that Rocky was breech so he told me I had to have a csection. I started bawling for almost an hour because they were close to taking me back and Brandon was almost there. They wheeled me back the moment he got through the hospital doors and sent him straight to the OR to get ready while I got my spinal. Rocky entered the world on May 8th, at 11:08 being 4lbs and 1oz. He spent a week in the hospital just to gain weight because he dropped to 3lbs 13oz. I didn't get a picture with him right away because he had to be taken instantly and I didn't get to see him in person until the next day which broke my heart and still bothers me to this day, but the nurses took my phone and snuck pictures of him ❤️❤️

Same here!!! I told. My hubby we are only 4 weeks away from when we went in with our daughter and this week he had to help me get everything ready 😂 this momma will not have that happen again lol!! You know it truely wouldn't have been a bad experience had in not taken 2 weeks of active labor to have a baby and had I had competent doctors. I still have some serious mental problems from my birth just because of how truely traumatic it all was. I would never ever wish it on anyone. Hopefully this time I get the birth I want. I was in shock so bad I don't remember what I did with him! I was praying I didn't drop him!! Also my legs were clamped shut so the Dr's had a really hard time getting the placenta out and I wouldn't let them stitch me up. It was definitely crazy, telling the story I can't describe the emotions that went along with that you know? @tater4414

I have to start my story out by saying that I have rheumatoid arthritis... I see my rheumatologist every 6-8 weeks and only being 28 (29 now) and no kids he wouldn't put me on any "good medicines" for it as they can cause birth defects and it takes awhile for the meds to get out of your system once you've been on it...I went to my November appointment and got asked the famous are you still trying to get pregnant question, and of course we said yes (I had stopped my birth control in may to start trying to get pregnant) he had said that if we didn't get pregnant by the beginning of the new year that we should look into seeing a fertility Dr as I wasn't getting any younger. 😂 the middle of November I decided to buy an at home ovulation test to try and get pregnant on our own. I took the test and it had a smiley face... so I knew I was at high peak to get pregnant...well I retested again after 4 days (knowing I hadn't had sex because my husband was on night shift for 3 nights) and it had shown another smiley face...I said to myself something doesn't seem right, so I went and bought a pregnancy test after work. when I got home I tested and it said pregnant! I couldn't believe my eyes! I didn't say a word to my husband because I didn't want to get his hopes up in case it was a false positive... so I made an appointment with my family Dr and of course I couldn't get in until December 23...I went to my appointment and sure enough I was pregnant! I went home and put the pregnancy tests and a Notre Dame onesie in a small Christmas gift box and told y husband he had to open it before he left for work. he opened it and pulled the onesie out with a confused look on his face and said it wouldn't fit our puppy and as he said that he noticed the pregnancy tests and was so over joyed that we were finally expecting! at this point I didn't think I was very far along...I had an obgyn appointment on January 22...we went thinking I was only 10 weeks along or so, and they did a dating scan that day, and to my surprise the little august baby I thought we were going to have was going to be making its appearance into the world in may! I was 22 weeks and 3 days along! I never once had a single symptom that lead me to believe I was pregnant! my due date was may 25th...I went to my 38 week appointment (may 17) and was 1cm dilated with my blood pressure being slightly high, so my Dr sent me to labor and delivery to see if it would go down or to see if I was going to be induced. well the Dr that was there decided to go ahead and induce me. I layed in that hospital bed from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday afternoon (52 hours) and had only went from 1cm to 4.5cm...I said I'm ready for her to be out..after having been on pitocin, and still wasn't making any progress we decided to do a c-section...our little girl entered this world on may 19th at 1610 weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 inches long. it was a very long process (and I wouldn't wish being induced on anyone!) but we are so in love and couldn't be happier! ❤ sorry for the long story!

My first daughter. I started preterm labor at 29 weeks. We held on for 10 more weeks. The morning I started labor I felt uncomfortable. No comfort was found. We went to the hospital and I was given a shot of morphine in my hip. It helped me get some rest. 12 hours later after being sent home I was back and still no progress. I then went for a walk. finally after a half hr and a panic attack progress. I was then administered the epidural. Within an hour I dilated from 4 to 8 cm. It took another 7 hours for my little girl to make her entrance. Born at 607 weight 6lb 4oz my little girl arrived. :)

My second daughter was a bit more stubborn. This one I had irregular contractions starting at 23 weeks. At 38 weeks I swelled to the point of pants no longer fitting. My doctor made sure it was not preeclampsia. It wasn't so she set up an early induction. I was to call that morning to see if there was room for me to come in. I started calling at 330 am. there was no room. The hospital was so busy that day I didn't get in until 1100. They delivered 29 babies before I had came in. Paper work and waiting for my doctor took the longest. Finally my water was broken and I was given pitocin to regulate my irregular contractions. After about an hour and a half I asked again for the epidural. Little did I know it was already to late. They administered the epidural within an hour I was begging for more. My nurse came in and told me how to get a shot of more medication. After 3.5 hours of labor my second princess made her enterance. Born 8lbs 10oz at 1838. :)

My first daughter (and currently only child) was an amazing, all natural birth! 40 weeks 4 days early labor contractions started, we got check out because I was having bloody show and wasn't sure if my waters were leaking, and sent home at 3.5cm dilated. I spent the night with mild contractions while hubby went into work thinking that it would take a while to enter active labor...come 2am at 40 weeks 5 days my water broke as I got up to pee with a karate kick from baby girl and a POP lol hubby rushes home from work with me on the phone the whole time, DEFINITELY in active labor now! We finally get to the hospital around 3am, starting to get checked in and at 4cm dilated...hubby goes out to park the car finally while the nurse continues to ask me questions, and that's when I start feeling the urge to push. The nurse tells me I can't be fully dilated yet after less than an hour of laboring and to resist the urge, I tell her I can because I was experiencing the ejection reflex where my body did the pushing during each contraction and I had no control...she tries talking me into an epidural to help me relax, and I almost gave in despite not wanting any medications...hubby comes back in and is informed of what's going on, and the nurse decides to check me before the guy with the big nasty needle came in lol sure enough and to her surprise, I was fully dilated and baby girl was moving down! She had me push a couple times and then told me to resist until the doctor came...it was agony. Holding it was harder than anything and hurt worse than pushing!!! Finally the doctor rushes in and we resume pushing, and she despite trying to go slow I got two 2nd degree tears for my effort 😑 but I didn't care at the time, my sweet baby Melody Piper was born at 4:32am weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20 inches long, completely natural! And only 1.5 hours of active labor (from showing up at the hospital) to birth!!! She latched as soon as the doctor was done stitching me up (prob 20 mins?) and now she is 10 days away from being 10 months old, 19lbs 8oz and 28.5 inches long at her 9 month check up!!! This picture was the first time she nursed and we are still going strong now, not one bottle or pacifier 😍

By 39 weeks and 7 days, I had been dilated at 3cm for a week an started having contractions on Thursday may 12th at 8pm I went in to the hospital they admitted me waited a hour and checked me I was still at 3 so my doctor told them to send me home. I was depressed because that was going to be my second time going home. I started to cry and the nurse allowed me to wait another hour. After that hour I had dilated to 4 so I made progress which then they could keep me, I was so happy I felt like my baby had felt how sad I was. That whole day I felt as though I had too poop so right before switching into my labor room I used that bathroom an after my BM my contractions got stronger and so much more painful it went from a 6 to a 8 writhing minutes. Once I got into my labor took I had to wait to get my epidural until I had finished signing papers. Once I got my epidural it helped so much, I couldn't even feel my contractions. After about 3 hours I had dilated to 5, another 4 hours passed then I was at 6. My water was still intake so once I got to 7 my doctor manually broke my water. By 10am may 13 I started to push, I had to get my baby past my pelvis bone before I could start pushing him out, after pushing for about 35 minutes. It was time to get my baby out, by that time my epidural was just starting to wear off. During my labor pushing wasent the hard part but the curling of my back while trying to push was the most painful it felt as though someone was breaking my spine in half. After about 20 min of pushing they had to give me a episiotomy they cut me twice. An I pushed about another 10 min an my 7lb 4oz baby was finally here at 11:59 am may 13. He came out with very low oxygen an they had to give him oxygen in the baby nursery. Once they took him from me none of the doctors would answer my questions whether he was ok. The pain was excruciating after they took out the after birth and sewed me up, I started shaking. My teeth were even chattering. They had to give me some strong medicine, it helped with the pain but it also put me straight to sleep. I slept for a little over and hour I believe an they let me go to the nursery to see my baby by then his oxygen level was up and he was doing just fine. Now my baby is a month old and an 10lbs he is incredible an I love him more than anything!!

I had started labor with my son at 27wks. I managed to keep him in till 36wks. when my water broke at 8pm Saturday night. I went to the hospital they told me it didn't break.(which it had) and then checked to see if I was dilated I was at 2cm. I got sent home... all night Saturday I was up changing my pad cause my water had broken and I got sent home. Sunday I went to church I was having contractions like crazy by then. I waited till after church and finally went back. at 1:30 Sunday. they checked me again and they said my water was broken and I told them it had been broken since I came in last night. well because it was broken for so long I was on antibiotics so that my son would get a blood infections. I wasn't getting checked very often at all so finally at 3am Monday I felt like I need to push badly I yelled for my nurse to come check me and I was at 10cm. while I was pushing we lost his heart beat slowly. they flipped me onto all fours and I finished pushing him out that way at 3:40 am Monday morning my son was born weighting 6lbs 5oz. 18.5 inches long!

my 4th .. 38 weeks when my water broke after being dilated and efacing since 34 weeks. I was admitted at 230pm on 4/12, had contractions but nothing uncomfortable. at 945 my contractions finally felt strong to me and I was almost fully dilated and effaced. the nurse called in the doctor at just about the time I needed to push he arrived. I really had to stop my self from pushing until he got there. started pushing but had to stop so doctor could unwrap her cord from her neck. after a couple of pushes I got to grab her and pull her up. we did skin to skin, and the breast crawl. she was latched and nursing within 45 min. here is one of my favorite pictures and you can see my video here...(you have to click on the picture to see the full thing) https://www.dropbox.com/s/u13mycxu0hi5u19/Henson Birth.mp4?dl=0

I was at 41 weeks when my doctor decided to induce me. 2 weeks before my due date, I got a pupps rash on my belly. It was super itchy and uncomfortable. Needless to say lots of sleepless nights. I was induced on a Monday morning. Everything was going well. I got my first epidural a few hours into labor. It worked for about an hour. I started to feel all my contractions on my right side. We opted for a second epidural which also failed. Meanwhile, it was taking me forever to dilate and I was not producing much urine. I contracted all night, but I couldn't get passed 9 cm. My baby was pressing on my bladder so the doctors told me they needed to do a c section or my kidneys would start to fail. They prepped me for surgery and as they got started, the more they made the incision, the more I could feel. Turns out since my second epidural failed, the medicine they gave me wasn't working. I had to be completely knocked out and missed my daughter coming into this world. The picture below is when I finally got to see my daughter for the first time about 2 hours after she was born. She had a rough time coming into this world but I wouldn't change a thing. She is my reason for everything I do

I had a lot of early labor signs with my son. A lot of painful Braxton Hicks starting at 23 weeks. The whole 'more than four BH contractions in an hour' never applied to me. I would get up to ten, so I was at L&D quite often. At 35 weeks and 6 days, my friend came over and dropped off the bassinet she had bought for us. (This was around 8 am) At 8:25 am, my water broke. I knew exactly what it was but didn't have a bag packed or anything, plus I was home alone since my husband was driving his mom to a dr appt that was over an hour away. I was actually super calm. I texted my mom the humor I was finding in trying to get a new pad on while I was continuously leaking fluids. I called my husband and told him to turn around and come back since my water broke. Then I called the hospital to let them know I was coming. After driving myself to the hospital, I tried not to be embarrassed waddling around in my nightgown while holding a bright blue towel between my legs as I checked in. The contractions didn't start until after I got to the hospital. I got some IV pain medication while in the whirlpool tub, which was fun while it lasted. By then my husband had showed up (with his mom) and my mom came over on her lunch break. My dad stopped by with some flowers and then my brother in law and sister in law showed up. (Not exactly all who I pictured being there). At 5 cm, I opted for the epidural. The angle kept going in wrong and I ended up getting stabbed like eight times, but I only felt one more contraction after I got it. After that, I just wanted to sleep. But I can't sleep if I can hear voices and with everyone in the room it was difficult. I even had ear plugs since I knew I would want to sleep, but they didn't help. I was going to yell at everyone to get out when my dr came in and checked me. I was at 9 cm! After that u was too excited to sleep. My mom was back by then and within an hour, i could tell it was time. They gave me a glove and let me feel his head when I asked, which was pretty cool. And then it was time to push. I only had maybe 8 contractions before he came out at 7:39 pm, his hand over his face like he was blocking a camera flash. His pose resulted in a second degree tear but I didn't care. They placed him on my stomach since his cord was too short to reach my chest and after a minute, my husband cut the cord. We did immediate skin to skin and delayed cord clamping. He was nursing within 15 minutes. I held him for nearly an hour and a half before I let them take him over to be weighed and measured. 6 lb 14 oz and 18 1/4 inches long. He had so much hair and was super fuzzy since he was so early. He had pooped in the womb, but didn't breathe any of it in. He was perfectly healthy. They kept him an extra night to be monitored (and since our nursery at home wasn't set up). We didn't get any pictures of right when he was born or of me holding him for the first time. I'm not sure if I'll regret that. So, my birth story wasn't exactly as I had planned, but they never are. And Joshua José is perfect even if my plan wasn't.

My first!

My water broke in my doctors office at 930 AM May 23rd. My midwife sent me up to the hospital to be admitted. I got to the hospital and was 1 cm dilated. Then we played the waiting game. I was planning on having a natural water birth, but I had to get to 4 cm to get in the tub. Six hours had passed and I was still at 1 cm, so they decided to start me on pitocin, ruling out my water birth, but I was still determined to labor naturally. Four more hours passed and I was at 2 cm finally! Then the nurses discovered my water bag didn't fully break. It was still in tact at the bottom. My midwife had to come in to break it the rest of the way. It went EVERYWHERE! So gross! After that, I was checked for cervical change every 2 hours. After seven more hours I was only at 4 cm and I finally asked for an epidural. The pain was unbearable! Since I'm allergic to narcotics they could only give me a lidocaine epidural and had to make a special solution for it in the pharmacy. Unfortunately the pharmacist on staff wasn't aware of the situation and it took 1 1/2 hours to get me my epidural. About an hour after the epidural I was checked again. I was still stuck at 4 cm but something far more frightening was found out. At some point in the previous 2 hours my daughters umbilical cord had become lodged between my cervix and her head and it was cutting off her blood flow. They immediately prepped me for an emergency c section! My biggest fear. After an hour in surgery and an hour in recovery I finally got to meet the girl of my dreams. She was perfect in every way. The doctors told me the cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times, and if I would have dilated one more cm in the delivery room she wouldn't have made it because her blood supply would have gotten cut off completely! She came at 4:06 AM May 24th, weighing 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 1/2 inches long! I'm so thankful for this little miracle. All the pain was worth her 💜

Мама дочки-младенца

I was 38 weeks & 2 days when my beautiful girl decided to come. It was at 12:30am when I got my first contraction. I try taking a bath to be sure I was contracting & it wasn't Braxton hicks. When I realize how frequent the pain was coming I knew that it was the day she was coming. I called the hospital after two hours of contracting & I was told to call back in another two hours to be sure I was contracting. I lasted a hour & half when I decided to go to the hospital. When I got there I was 3cm 😩 I waited for a room to become available & when that happen I finally was able to get my epidural which I was grateful for lol when they checked me again I was 8 cm & was patiently waiting for the doctor to tell me I was ready. After hours of waiting I finally was able to push & on May 10 at 2:27pm Skylar Arianna Khadu was born. She weigh 6 pounds & was 19 1/2 inches long. I am beyond grateful that I had a good delivery & my daughter is with me here today 💗

Мама дочки (1 год)

I was due 1-25-15 but ended up giving birth 1-31-15 1:28am. I went into labor the day before I was supposed to be induced. I started having real contractions early morning (3am) on 1-30-15. I had my last checkup that day and had my membranes swept. I ended up having my bloody show a little after that. The doctor said I would end up giving birth that night or the following night. I was having strong contractions all evening. At one point my husband asked me how close my contractions were and I said they lasted for about 1 minute each and were between 5-7 minutes apart and asked why I waited so long to tell him and I said I didn't know. ( I didn't tell him, but I was honestly scared because I wasn't ready for what was going to happen) My husband, myself and my mother in law all went to the hospital. By this time in was around 8:30 pm. I got checked in and one of the on call doctors from my ob office came to see how far I was dilated. Turns out I was only at 2 cm and about 60% effaced. He decided to break my water and see if I would progress any. I decided to take a warm bath to help things along. My contractions were so strong that I ended up throwing up a few times and one of the times I could barely get up to my puke bucket, my husband had to help pull me up. He was so scared because he thought I was going to choke. My contractions got stronger after that. I got the epidural when I was at about 5cm. (I wish I didn't because I started feeling most of everything I was past 7cm.) my nurse checked me about every 40 minutes and I dilated very quickly. I went from 2 to 5 to 8 to 10 pretty quickly. 1 am came along and my nurse asked if I wanted to push and I said I didn't know and she said I should try. So I did. I was scared as could be even though my husband was by my side. After a while my nurse told my husband to look because her head was showing and they were talking about how much hair she had and how dark it was. I pushed for 28 minutes. My last push was a "great one " according to my nurse. I thought it was too because I felt a pop. Her head was ready to come out. I was told not to push anymore because my doctor needed to get there. She was already coming out by time the on call Doctor got there. My husband got to cut the cord and we both were crying because our beautiful 7lb 4oz ,20.5" baby girl was earth side finally.

Мама дочки-младенца

I went into the hospital last Friday at 11:50 pm because i was nauseous, having trouble eating and couldn't keep my blood sugar up. After much debate i was kept for a 24 hour urine where they determined i was borderline on preeclampsia. i am also a type one diabetic and was induced at 37 and 2 for hypertension and borderline preeclampsia. I was induced Sunday June 12th at 11 am with a dose of Cytotec to soften my cervix (keep in mind it usually takes 4 doses to jumpstart labor) by 2:30 right before it should of wore off my contractions were 30 seconds apart and i was placed on oxygen because my baby girl wasn't breathing well her heartrate was very flat with no accelerations. When this didn't work i was given to IVs of fluid to try to space out the contractions this didn't work either the next attempt was terbutaline which again didn't work. After hours of using the peanut ball to try to get my daughter to move into position i gave in and asked for the epidural where i was pressing the extra button for pain every 15 minutes for two hours just so i could sleep for an hour . At 11 pm i was checked and i was dilated to a 6 but only 80% effaced still it was progress and my room was set up for birth. The next nurse checked me at 1:30 and i had made no progress they said it still could be awhile. When the doctor made her rounds at 8:00 she said that I wasn't able to dilate further, my hips weren't wide enough to have her naturally, and also her heartrate was beginning to increase it was decided that after being in labor for almost 22 hours that a c section was the best idea. I was told it'd be 45 minutes to 2 hours but they started prepping me anyway. 15 minutes later they come back in and say ok let's go. Once back there they kept trying to get me to numb but I couldn't so i was put under general anesthesia (sleep) my mom was kicked out to the hallway but couldn't go back to the waiting room where my boyfriend and the rest of the family were anxiously waiting for any news. My daughter was born at 9:32 am that day. She was transverse (on her side) and the umbilical cord was right above her head. It took me almost half an hour to wake up and i was having trouble breathing and was on oxygen till 8:00 that night, because I'm diabetic my daughter was taken to the NICU where she spent the first three days of her life stabilizing her blood sugar we actually just came home yesterday. So while my induction story isn't a pleasant one i can honestly say a c section saved my daughters life.

Мама двоих (младенец)

I went to the doctors for a normal ultrasound. we had an ultrasound the Thursday before and the water was at a 7, so in 5 days the water dropped from 7 to a 3. knowing how hydrated I stay we knew it was bad, more so since my water wasn't leaking and being 42 weeks pregnant. so I went in to be induced. around 7pm we were forced to go out into the hallway due to weather, a tornado had touched down several miles away. Around 10pm the contractions really hit. I could not get comfortable and all I wanted to do was hang out in the shower on my birth ball. but every time I got in the shower we would lose my daughters heart beat. my doula showed up at a perfect time. the nurses were wonderful and tried for 30 minutes to find her heart beat while getting soaking wet because I didn't want to leave the shower. my doula managed to somehow get me out of the shower. between her and a nurse they put me in a Texas roll or tuck or something in bed. pretty much one leg was up by my head while I was as far on my stomach I could lay. I slept in between contractions for 3 hours. waking up at 2, asking if I was ok to be checked. I was at a 9 1/2. the buzz of everything being turned on started in prep for baby. I was having a lot of back labor and was in a lot of pain. I got up on all fours. the pressure of pushing was there. I told my doula who then handled finding my call light and telling the nurses. baby time. I remember being on my side and telling my doula that I peed myself, nope my water had broke. my doctor came in at that time and asked for me to be on my back or side. I tried my back first and could not handle that. so I went straight to my right side. one push and there was her head. I fought pushing for about 4 minutes my husband said before finally given in and pushing. one more push and out my daughter came. 8lb 14oz 22inches long. no pain meds and no tearing or cuts.
