my husband and I have been though some pretty rough times, having nothing and not getting any support. Working long hours and just feeling as though it pays the bills and keeps us alive, living from pay check to pay check. His family favour his sister and therefore we get no help. Have never gotten any help. My parents died when I was small but we still wanted a baby I used my savings and literally all them to afford a wedding and a house as my husband was poor didn't even have a penny to his name. His parents bought his sisters wedding bought her a car and she got given a house bought for her and Rick got nothing. Rick is staying on at work for 12 hours even more. While his sister is jetting of to Tenerife another holiday and somewhere else the following month. the truth is she probably has a lot saved that she keeps on boasting about because she has never had to use any of her savings. She's never had no-one to help her. I'm so happy that at least we have managed as a couple.

👆 that's just sensible lol (the saving part) my parents fortunately didn't die but disowned me shortly after i found out I was pregnant with my first baby. my husbands family have never contributed financially or offered to babysit or anything. we've done it all by ourselves.but really im sure thats the way it should be . the harder part is when you don't have anybody to leave your children with if you ever want to go out alone with your husband lol. we've never had a day or a night 'off'. or just finding a baby sitter so you can go the dentist or get your eyes checked or get your hair done etc. 😂 lack of family support is hardest when you realise you can't just leave your baby with your mum for an hour or so like every one else does 😐 xx

@oc7, it does make me sad to when I see people boasting they bought an I Candy buggy worth over 500 pounds but I just sort of think, we could buy her that but I'd rather save that money for her future and buy her a cheaper one :) im not materialistic in that way. Xxx

Completely get this! It's so hard sometimes to understand the logic behind how some are favoured more than others but in the end that feeling of contentment after working so hard to achieve outweighs it all! Well done for getting to where you are now despite the odds, wouldn't worry about her and what she's been handed carry on doing you and enjoy every second of it. ❤️
