And I have a couple friends who have done it to their sons and they regret doing it. (His penis will be bigger, its cleaner, i want him to look like his dad...) they did it for those reasons and after doing more research they wished hey hadn't. @brandosmommy
It's the truth. Which is why I recommended doing more research on it don't take it from me or the other mommas on here. In the end it's your choice :) @brandosmommy
The reason a lot of people in America do it is because John Harvey Kellogg promoted it as a way to prevent boys from masturbating. Kellogg thought that masturbation was the worst evil one could commit; he often referred to it as "self-abuse". He also thought diet played a huge role in masturbation and that a bland diet would decrease excitability and prevent masturbation thus creating that bland cereal we know today (corn flakes). Personally I feel like the foreskin is there for a reason. You're not supposed to retract the skin to clean it, you're supposed to clean it as if it were a finger. My husband isn't circumcised and I've never had an infection. No one in his family or mine is and they're all fine. I would never circumcise my kids unless absolutely necessary. But that's just my opinion. @brandosmommy
we arent getting the procedure done. i dont see the need to. but also we know how to teach him the proper care. one my husband wasnt and ive taken care of eldery men in a home that wasnt. plus he doesnt believe in getting it done. no one in his family got it done.
I'll be circumcising my son....I feel like everyone else I don't know how to teach my son how to clean it properly. And my fiancé is circumcised and idk how we would teach him how to clean himself properly and prevent from getting infections!
I will be getting my son circumsized because of the risk of infections. also I HATE thinking about this but it will happen one day... uncircumsized men can cause cervical problems with women. my baby father wasn't circumsized, and I had constant infections.. if you don't do it you have to teach them it's very important to pull the skin back and clean very very well. and EVERY DAY! but my preference would be to get it done and the sooner the better
So I feel strongly about this mostly because my husband went through a dramatic experience from not being circumcised. he got an infection and when he was 5 they circumcised him. he still remembers it too.
So pretty much circumsizing is the way to go , j wouldn't be able ties plain to my boy how to clean him self either I don't have one lol @tenecia @mommybug @daniediane
I did with both of my boys. I am glad I did. They heal way faster when they are infants, and I never had a problem with putting the cream and gauze on them. They never cried when they went to the bathroom. It took about a week or so to heal, but I wouldn't change it. It's definitely a personal decision but I felt it was right for my boys. I am having a girl this time, but if she was a boy I would be having it done again.
like @daniediane friend.. i would literally have no clue how to clean it when he got older or how to explain it for him to clean properly.. I'm already having a tough time teaching my 3 yr old to wipe her butt after she poops lol
that's pretty much what i was told.. other than the painful sex i didnt know that.. he was in pain for like 5-6 days .. or less but hes fine now.. and we dont have to worry about infections.. his father said it was up to me and since I am doing most of the diaper changes bc im a SAHM i decided to do it..
I don't have a boy but my Best Friend has two (3 & 4) and she ended up just getting it done to them both last month because she made the choice not to when they were born because the father thought it wasn't necessary because he wasn't. But she told me it became so hard for her to clean them properly and teach them how to do so (the dad is no longer in the picture.) because of all the extra skin so she felt like she had no choice.
See I herd if he isn't curcumsize he can end up with infections as he gets old and when he has sex for the first time that will hurt him badly ! And he had a higher risk of hiv and stuff if he is uncircumcised@mommybug
I did, I've heard so many ladies say they won't date a man thats uncircumcised it's crazy.. and it's a lot of grown men getting it done and it's painful when they are grown they are practically disable for awhile ..
i did it because i was told the extra little skin can cause infections if not cleaned properly... and i wouldn't know how to explain cleaning it to him when he gets older.. and honestly if i can avoid infections I'll take it! lol.. but after the circumcision they put a little gauze around it and it fell off after 3 days.. he did cry every time he peed the 1st few days and it broke my heart every time lol.. but 2wks later and it healed very nicely..
