@vikki655, that makes sense! My girl is probably gonna hit that stage this summer so I will keep that in mind! and @lilbabyboy16, the coolness of the cloth really does help! I didn't keep it on her the whole time, just for a minute then take it off, or wipe her hair so dampen it....the fan stayed aimed at our nursing spot in bed like all day LOL she would sweat so bad it would drip down my arm, this heat sucks so bad for babies!!!

@lilbabyboy16, my daughter was born last year August 24th, she was hot and sweaty and turned beat red every time she nursed...I have always been told that a wet wash cloth works best to keep them cool, they do not get sick from being damp! Trust me, she was mere days old when I started doing this and she has literally never been sick in the 9 months she's been alive haha just keep an eye on temp, if baby feels cool, take the wash cloth away. If baby feels hot, bring it back lol

I don't have a AC in the apartment complex I live in. So I have my daughter in a diaper and shes in her room with two fans on just to keep her cool.

@vikki655, what does that do? And backwards as in the butt in the front or like, inside out?

Wet wash cloths and fans are a good mix, also if you can keep that AC on....if not, which is totally understandable if you can't afford it, then cool bathtime play is nice, keep them in diapers only, go swimming if you can, pool or beach (don't forget that sunscreen!), hose play if you have a yard, lots of water (or just lots of their milk if under one year of age).....you could also freeze baby food purees into bite size pieces and have them snack on that if 6 months or older, or breastmilk pops are great for younger babies! Just get creative, and remember water is your friend in the heat! Girl it was 110 where I'm at yesterday, it is WAY too damn hot! Don't forget to take care of yourself, too!

I leave my baby in a diaper and I have the ac on since its in the 100 degree weather even if I have to pay more I'd rather have the kids be cooler
